    @user-ol3km7tk9b@user-ol3km7tk9b17 күн бұрын
    • Yep absolutely. Very fair and also quite a thought provoking assessment. Not a knee jerk reaction to sell Salah, but rather to give him a break and then see if he can start performing again. The only thing I would add is that publicly disrespecting and dissenting against the manager is never excusable, it undermines your own professional character as a player and sets a terrible example for the younger kids. So that should be sorted out with Salah to remind him to never do such a thing ever again.

    • true, this season i think he’s done it incredibly well tho tbh and if anything salah and van dijk were the only ones who weren’t coming off. Salahs been poor for like 10 games now u can’t reward that with a start so i get salah being mad he only played the last 10 but even when he came on he was meh. Next game he’ll start or play the last 30 and if he does well u start him next game. Klopps been good this season at rotating trusting the likes of gomez, bradley, quansah, clark, danns even when there’s better options on the bench like konate or robertson have been on the bench frequently

Injuries hit everyone: injured players, obviously, but then the fit ones have to play at least twice more compared to a 'normal' season. All that quadruple talk was utter nonsense. Midway through the season, I reckoned finishing in top three would be a massive result given the injuries, and I still stick to that point. Everything bigger would've been a miracle but heck, miracles don't happen, unless it's Istanbul or we're playing against Barcelona at home lol

    • @@F--B Whatever you say mate. 😂😂 They'll still end the season with more trophies than Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs and indeed any other Prem side... aside from the dodgy team with 115 charges to their name. And Klopp will leave Liverpool having won every trophy available in club football. In England, Europe and the world. They've burnt themselves out now and it's ending with a bit of a whimper. But that doesn't suddenly mean the rest of this season and indeed the last 8 years didn't happen, does it? Arsenal are doing now what Liverpool did back in the 2017-2022 period. Playing great football, going toe-to-toe with City, but they'll win no titles. Maybe they'll win 1, like Liverpool did in 2020, that's it. Because City are a money-machine and Arsenal will soon get fed up when, despite all their best efforts and great football, they still don't win nearly as much as they deserve. Because Lance Armstrong FC stands in their way. No doubt Newcastle will come along before long also and the Premier League will just become a soulless shootout between two oil-rich clubs. That's the future of top flight football. It's depressing. Aaaaaannd that's why I support a lower league club instead. 👌 The Prem can go **** itself. Punishing clubs like Everton and Forest, whilst teams like City spend whatever they like. It's a joke league.

One should think that this releases additional strength and motivation for the rest of the season, the team giving their best to ensure that their Coach can leave the Club with his head up high. Besides that, if I was a player, I would like to know which coach is going to manage the team at the beginning of the new season, so I can reflect if I still wanna play here or consider potential offers by other clubs, which is a pretty normal thing to do.

  • Both are Liverpool legends already. I truly believe that it was Klopp's Liverpool, and not Guardiola's City, the team that made history during the last decade for a sigle reason: they played classic games in the Champions League and won when all the most important European teams were strong. City won the CL when the other competitive European teams were in decline; to the point that they beat a humble team in the finals. All the classic games City played in the CL, they lost. Liverpool, on the other hand, gave us the 4-0 against Messi's Barcelona in Anfield. Liverpool also destroyed City at CL level, which is to the PL what the capital city is to the provinces. So, I hope these guys make peace, and say goodbye being aware of their legacy.

When other teams counter your heavy metal you are out of options. Liverpool don't have a well laid out system it's just heavy metal and individuals are supposed to shine abd surprise the opponents. That can't happen always. Planning on that is not sound as well.

  • I support Liverpool. And once again I totally agree with Gary, 100%! Firstly on the point that Liverpool currently in the end of 23/24 season is nowhere near Arsenal and City in terms of quality football. Secondly, it is almost evident now that our beloved coach Jurgen Klopp is drained, some players are drained individually and the whole Liverpool team is just in the condition of massive burn out. There are several reasons for that.. Unfortunately it is like that, and the team will end this season on a minor bitter note..No celebrations and pleasant emotions and nowhere near long anticipated and so desired Hollywood style ending in the end of Klopp's last season in Liverpool.. Sadly but true..

  • Second season where they were trying to challenge for too many things. I’ve always thought the League and Champions League is all that matters. In our case, even Europa was a waste of time and energy. I would have focussed the team on winning the league, and playing reserves, u21’s etc. in the cups. The cups, for the big teams, should just be about giving opportunities to people outside of the starting 11, giving younger players some experience, and experimenting with tactics. In the season when we were challenging for the quadruple nothing else mattered when we fell short of winning the league and champions league. It should have been a lesson learned for this season.

  • not even because of the recent form of salah i think we should cash in this summer, he’s got one year left on his deal and FSG won’t offer him an extension at the same wage he’s on right now, FSG don’t keep players with 1 year left on their deal it’s simple they either extend the contract in the final summer or they sell them. That’s the same reason i think someone like matip is going to leave because we haven’t extended the contract yet. Even if the bid is only 50m it’s not worth turning it down for one more season of him, we’d do better next season with him of course but the target in football has to be long term almost always, give 50m to michael edwards and he can find us the next salah potentially

  • From a poor 22/23 season followed by a rapid re-build over the summer, I'm just glad we're back in top 4 and ready to push on next season.... Or we were until Klopp decided to leave and we had to settle for 3rd choice Slot. 🙄

  • I'm a Liverpool fan and can't agree more with Gary Neville. Salah's been off form since his injury he got from AFCON. Klopp can't play him if he's not on it or just because he's "Mohamed Salah". The pundits on Sky sports were saying Klopp should have played him nonetheless which is such a naive comment to make. They should know better..No player is bigger than the club.

Do we really think its wise for the manger to allow any player that has suffered injury play a full 90+....most time's this has proved detrimental... As much as we needed Mo's services he just has not been able to reach those heights. Its to late now even if Mo plays in all the last games we not going to win the Premier league. Ive come to terms with it we all should....My blood is still RED.

  • I think Salah was annoyed at being given such little time to effect the game. He is to LFC what Stevie G used to be, too many looking at him to save us most games, whilst there are plenty of other players failing all the time. Simple fact is we haven’t played good enough to win the league, I would be embarrassed if we did based on the last two months games, our football has gone off the boil, whilst Citeh are coming to the boil, and Arsenal are still rampant.

  • I think it's a fair assessment. However, perhaps he should mention that Salah at his poorest level, with 7 shots at the Derby, was one of the 4 top ratings for Liverpool, and just behind Diaz. As he said the whole team is drained not only Salah. MU and Atlanta defeats were too much to coop with.
