@wownouser She's Australian and Australians are no different to anybody else. They are just as hateful. That's why us bird feeders feed birds - for pleasant company. Just two years ago, we lost our amazing Greater Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo Billy. John had him for 43 years and he passed in his arms. He knew him longer than he knew me! Here I go sobbing again. We believe he was at least 65 years old. He was John's boy! We miss him terribly, and my baby Citron-Crested Cockie (just 9 years old) speaks everything he learned from Bill andstill looks for him. We have only two birds now on our little ranch. Tazzie the cockatoo and Jack the cockatiel. We have outside birds who come and see us every day, and love to eat mealworms from our hands. We love it here in the mountains of central NM with our horses and deer family. It is beautiful and I would not want to live anywhere else. When they're walking like humans, they're making fun of us, because they usually hop with both legs together.
@@oriraykai3610 actually there are 2 subspecies of birds based on if they can walk or if they have to hop. Then within the ones who can walk like parrots, chickens, of pigeons, you have to separate the ones who have to bob their heads forward with each step or if they can keep the head upright. Birds like pigeons and chickens can't walk straight up and must do the funny head thing. And I'm totally getting off topic but yeah, it's totally normal in the wild for them to walk like that even without ever seeing a human. Edit: I should say subclassification, not sub species.

When I visited Australia and New Zealand, I was so amazed at the birds there. I first heard a magpie in New Zealand, but didn't see it. I thought it was someone pulling a handcart with a squeaky wheel. When I finally saw the magpie, I called it the "squeaky wheel bird". I was corrected! In Australia, it was amazing seeing birds I had previously only seen in captivity flying freely. And there were hundreds of them in the country. Our North American birds are more drab, I guess to blend in with winter foliage. Except the cardinals and buntings. You are very lucky. 🌈
This lady really just tamed wild parrots by sitting on a balcony. Man that's some disney princess vibes right there
She's like Snow White ngl 🥺✨
Yes, yes it is 🦜🦅🐦🐞🌸🦋🌹🌺
No. Doesn't happen. I have been living next to a lake for over 40 years and put out water for the birds. NEVER put out food. We get large groups of birds on our lawn, up to 100 White Cockatoo's and can get up to 50 Galahs among many other types of birds. The birds are used to me and don't flee unless they get spooked, but they would never come and gather as close as you see above. For this to happen, you have to be feeding them.. And no, she is no angel or princess.
aight
Fiona wasn’t Disney.
I once had a bird land on my arm, while sitting under a tree. He stood there for a few seconds---even after I raised my arm to get a better look. It's a strange feeling. I felt.... honored...
It is a common belief that wild birds only approach good people. I think it's real. What do you think?
@@user-ms8rd3vd8w I'm guessing that there must be a level of "trust", or it's equivalent. It sooo oddly satisfying, because I wasn't holding any food and wasn't trying to coax it towards me... Can't explain why it happened---just how it felt, when it did.
@@vincentsablan732 I’m curious did this happen in a place where you were frequently. I’m wondering if maybe birds watch us, like they observe our behavior to see if we are violent to other wildlife? I don’t know if that’s a crazy thought, but maybe they watch and once they know they can trust you then they’ll come.
@@hopeyancey5462 You know, that is something I never considered. It was at a park where I practically lived. I was working with a homeless shelter and would visit people daily. We'd sit under trees and just talk. When this happened, I believe there were 4 or 5 of us. I did this for more than 3 years, so I guess it's possible, but it only happened the one time...
@@vincentsablan732 maybe that was the one special touch to let you know they trust and appreciate you. A way to thank you for helping others. Side note - thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping others, especially our vulnerable without homes. Xoxo
You are so blessed to have these adorable birds in your company 😊😊❤❤
As long as you get to pet them, this is basically paradise of earth. ❤
I'm just amazed by the diversity of birds in that place.
Australia really does have amazing birds to enjoy. You should come and see it at some point in your life.
In the video, only galah, sulphur crested cocky, magpie, kookaburra and King parrot. Just the 'tip of the iceberg'. 🤣🥰
@@fybromon1409 Yeah, if you want vacccine passports, mandatory curfews, mandatory masking, to be thrown in jail for trying to be free or exposing hypocrisy.
I want to live in Australia solely for the birds lol
Prob anything outside ppls bubbles looks fascinating. I want to know the place where there's colorful ones. Imagine living in that place and those are just your common every day birds. 🤗 they need to be hoomanized & become pets 😍:/
