  • From Singapore 🇸🇬. Great video clip showing your expert skills. Is that black hot liquid, TAR? that was used. Hope you have safety shoes to protect any spillage onto feet and to prevent respiratory problems..use with good ventilation and appropriate masks. Many years of wood working dust and chemicals like Tar can harm lungs and cause other problems. We want you to carry on your skills for many many years and wish you the best in health. Best Wishes.

  • I think using the hot asphalt is genius. By creating that little dam it is self-leveling and because it doesn't compress it's parallel with the Earth besides it being used as an adhesive. So smart. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

  • It’s the same method used here in the UK back in the 1930s, for polished, parquet wood block flooring. They were set in hot pitch. Also wooden roads, made again from wooden blocks in towns and cities during the 19th century. I remember in London, back in the 50s, when they ripped up the old tram lines, the old “tarry blocks” were chopped up and sold as fire lighters.

  • En algunos países puede q sean técnicas pasadas de moda, pero en algunos países aún se utilizan, yo he trabajado en pisos y escaleras de madera y así lo hacemos, aunque nunca con la brea (alquitrán) tan caliente y peor a punto de ignición como se vió ahí q se prende fuego. Usamos la brea menos caliente pero la técnica es la misma. Son trabajos muy sacrificados pero el acabado final vale la pena y x eso son costosos por la mano de obra q lleva, además son trabajos q duran muchos, muchos años .

  • The asphalt not only used as adhesive, it is a termites deterrent too. It Is useful in termites infested area, workers can place an asphalt soaked cloth at the ground foundation of walls to prevent termites encroachment from the ground of walls.
