The 7 Heavenly Virtues As Rappers

Hip-Hop is often viewed as a genre that promotes degenerate and negative behavior. From rappers like Blueface, to the Island Boys... it's no secret that this has been the case for many years. However, today, I wanted to shine some light on some rappers who are praised for going against the norm. This video was also a twist to a good friend of mines, @ryan_pictures who did a topic title "The 7 Heavenly Virtues as KZheadrs". You can view his video here: • The 7 Heavenly Virtues...

  • Tyler is one of the main people who have made me realize you don't need to drink to fit in socially. I still enjoy weed unlike him but i haven't been drunk in years and i feel better for it cus i was blacked out every weekend for a while a few years back. Staying away from alcohol is the best thing I've ever done.

    @DatBoiGloomy@DatBoiGloomy2 ай бұрын
    • Same thing here, i used to get shitfaced too hard back in high school and even landed in a hospital on an occassion and even almost got me killed on another, it made me realise i had a problem that i needed to fix. I actually do drink sometimes but i haven't been hard drunk in a long time because i've realised the dangers of alchocol and that self control is more fullfilling over getting shitfaced and getting into trouble.

    • @@johnboy4955 It's still destructive for certain people that can't function properly when high, i mean people that get blazed every day and waste their days away sleeping, playing video games and eating. I smoke weed about as much as your average pothead and am very successful. If I died tomorrow I feel like I accomplished everything I needed to in life. For certain people it can be a negative way to live but for a fully developed responsible human being, I feel like it’s perfectly fine. Alcohol is statistically proven to be more harmful to our the people of our nation than Marijuana ever will. Its a hard pill to swallow I know

  • It's crazy to put Jay-Z as kindness, a man who pretends to care and pretends to put in work for others when really he's doing it for himself and his wife. Jay doesn't do anything unless he directly benefits from it. Also, he's a known predator. He was messing with Foxy Brown when she was 15 and started "dating" Beyonce when she was 16/17 and he was in his 30s. Ion know how you can be a predator who preys on young girls and still be kind. Plus, he famously cheated on his wife which led to Solange beating him up in that elevator.

    @eyelandgal@eyelandgal2 ай бұрын

  • The fact that Kendrick could be any one of these 😂 Chastity: he’s been with the same woman since he was 15 Charity: he’s physically travelled to Africa to give to communities and work on his soul Temperance: Kendrick has many songs such as swimming pools condemning substance abuse and the “m.A.A.d” in gkmc literally means “My Angels on Angel Dust” which ties in to the theme of him being a good kid in Compton Diligence: come on. I don’t even know how he got through that without mentioning Kendrick. best 4 album run of all time and has been said not only by him, but his producers, that he has thousands of unreleased GREAT songs that he just chose not to release because it wasn’t good enough or didn’t tie in with the album. Kindness: I think Kendricks album mister morale really exemplifies how mentally pure or wise he really is. Never seen a bad fan interaction with him. And like I said before, the trip to Africa. Glad he at least mentioned him. Patience: I’m glad he finally put him here. Humility: Kendrick only has 1 song where he states he’s TRYING to be better than everyone else. I love Cole but he has a song where he straight up calls himself god 😂😂😂 not humble, but his lack of humbleness is deserved.

He understands that rapping is just a job and his able to separate himself from his fans, and is very aware of the parasocial aspect that may come along with having a fan base as loyal as his. You can see this in DadBod, Celebration, etc. He is very aware of himself and his surroundings, and is also very kind and respectable as an individual. I also like his beats, especially the ones that 6ix makes

  • Lemme not lie, I do wish Logic had been the main focus of the kindness part, but that’s just me for emotional reasons!! His song 1-800 literally saved my life back in quarantine when I was at the lowest point I’ve ever been in life, suicidal ideation, just one long depressive episode. But I SWEAR in that moment when I heard him and Alessia Cara and Khalid on that track and they were singing about giving life one more shot, that was God talking to me, even though at that point I didn’t know it yet. To me, Logic literally spreads kindness in his music in the most unfathomable, beautiful ways.

  • Its sad that most of the rappers noted in this video are dissed by a lot of people in the "hip hop community", or just the community in general. Whether its heavily dissed, or some minor jabs, some negatively has come at each of their way for their music or style of music in ways that seem nonsensical, or just who they are, with Lil Wayne being the only exception thats seemingly remain unscathed (with the small exception of people taking shots at the current state of his locks but thats super minor). Especially when it comes to gatekeepers like Charlamagne and Budden who dont even have a leg to stand on in rap, but carry themselves like their word is the end all be all.

  • The parental advisory label came about after colombine I believe, the parent union that proposed it was blaming rock music, hip-hop and violence in video games & movies for the tragedy so they wanted a warning label so parents could be better informed about what their kids were consuming. It wasn't about the s3xual lyrics in rap. Correction: It came about because of 15 songs, one of which was "Darling Nikki" by Prince which mentioned m*sturbation. None of the 15 songs were rap songs, the majority (9/15) were by rock bands.
