  • I would have tried to pick the lock. Shimming would be my first attack (aluminum from a soda can and tin snips). A bent piece of bent heavy wire (coat hanger, wire cutter, and pliers) to act like the the key would be my second. The impact method with pliers and a small hammer would be my third (hold the hasp with pliers and strike the lock hbottom with a small hammer). I would replace the lock and hasp so it is more secure. Actually just leave it unlocked because a thief will steal the box and use a saw or a hammer.
