Natural Selection 2021 REPLAY: Tordrillo Mountains Showcase

In the third and final stop of the next-level Natural Selection Tour competition series, the world’s top snowboarders head to the Tordrillo Mountains in Alaska, where one man and one woman will be crowned 2021 Natural Selection Tour Champions.
Playing host to some of the most breathtaking terrain on planet earth, the Tordrillos are straight off the page of a science fiction novel. Alaska truly is the Last Frontier, and the riders have to find their own lines and navigate their way down massive Alaskan faces in prime conditions in a best of three-run semifinal and a head-to-head final.
Seven of the world’s best big mountain freestylers earned their way to AK to battle it out for the top spot and the grand prize. They are:

-Chris Rasman
-Zoi Sadowski-Synnott
-Robin Van Gyn
-Hana Beaman

  • There is something about backcountry skiing and snowboarding. When I am out of the slope, or just in the mountain, i just feel free. It's awesome.

  • Absolutely immense comp! Amazing effort of all involved to make it happen and the riders for their insane lines! Big shout out to the drone pilots….the filming and production in general was unbelievable! Props to T Rice and the whole team for making this happen and hope to see this side of the sport become as huge as it deserves to become 💪🏂

  • I remember seeing Mikkel Bang when he was 13 years old with a group of his mates from Norway in a Standard Films part, can't remember the one (TB Series maybe?) but I do remember him rocking it then and he has just grown into this incredible rider!! Respect!!

  • This coverage is the highlight of every winter since they started doing these. Usually you only see this terrain in climbing or flyover only, the helmet cams editing with the overhead drones really make it special.

  • The algorithm sent me here and I woke up about half an hour into it. My lucky night! What a programme that was! The presentation and the drone footage was excellent, the lodge seemed perfect and those mountains in Alaska are breathtaking 😮! Really enjoyed it and the contestants were all so nice.

  • Love the comp but please consider doing full runs unedited in the future. The quick jump edits of the Riders run to save time really take away from the essence of Freeriding. I get it was probably done to save time and gain higher viewer retention but it really takes away from what makes an event like this so Epic.

  • I happened upon this video while looking for someone skiing down a double black diamond slope I hiked up yesterday. These snowboarders are amazing. What’s the gradient of these slopes at their steepest on these runs? The photography is stunning also and I liked the geology information. I was also wondering how often avalanches happen and if so, what about the people standing around watching? This is well done. Kudos to all the snowboarders…just being there is a feat.
