So idk why I was complaining about that lol definitely herbs fault..I just get the sick feeling that brutal KO was a script and idk if they let blaydes know ahead of time or not. Kinda like WWF is scripted yet that time when McMahon got spit in the eye by the Hitman Hart... (wrestling with shadows is the name of doc) that seemed like Bret was the only one who wasn't in on that script of losing. Just as Curtis wasn't aware he would be pounded multiple times after being completely KOed already..I could be wrong, just a gut feeling. But one thing I know I am right about is that pro sports and all sports you can bet on are scripted or rigged. I interchange the words but script is a better word for it

  • Although Lewis is my boy (H-Town Baby!), this is the first time I really listened to Curtis (definitely watched his fights) and it seemed genuine. I respect that as well as his bit on how he has to provide for his fam- that's all that matters. With this being said I still am pulling for the Beast but if Curtis pulls it off, more power to you man...

  • I love how Blaydes understands that this is a sport. There are fighters who learn that their best option to make money and to get opportunities is to talk trash and there are fighters who just need to respect the sport and win to get where they need to be. Understanding which of those you need to be in order to be successful is such a big part of getting far in the UFC - good interview, I hope he lays on top of Lewis for the entire fight and wins on points; if Lewis has no answer then that’s his problem.

    • I mean he was but it still showed he had crazy cardio. He shot like 20+ _blast doubles_ against a huge guy at like 260. Cain would often half ass attempts to get into the clinch, he would rarely if ever shoot for double legs like that. Plus he was like 25 pounds lighter than Curtis, so you'd expect him to have good cardio for the division. The 260+ pound guys rarely have the highest workrates.

    • @M Harish Unfortunately it's not always so simple, and the Stipe anecdote doesn't certify that it's always the case. Being a bigger guy helps his top pressure and being able to overpower guys. Even if it's not all lean muscle, grappling with even a fat guy is a very different challenge. I don't think body recomposition is totally necessary.
