Derrick Lewis: "I dont think you associate Curtis Blaydes and chin together".
Curtis Blaydes getting knocked out had nothing to do with his chin. Derek Lewis just has a god-given once in a generation power.
He took shots from Ngannou, he has a good chin. Lewis just has ridiculous power
His chin would probably be 10x stronger than yours🤣 derrick lewis is a monster thats all
@@finnancahill2644 This. Ngannou's power is overrated. Lewis has way more. Ngannou overcommited two overhands on Blaydes and he was still kicking. Lewis caught him with a stopped uppercut with limited range of motion and made the guy stretch.
Lewis has more raw power that's for sure. Ngannou hits nearly as hard but I think derricks wider build is the difference

I definitely.put this on herb but also on the fighter for being too ruthless and brutal lol
@@sourdiesel8344 that's what Lewis does tho..he goes hard on his opponents with his power. So idk why I was complaining about that lol definitely herbs fault..I just get the sick feeling that brutal KO was a script and idk if they let blaydes know ahead of time or not. Kinda like WWF is scripted yet that time when McMahon got spit in the eye by the Hitman Hart... (wrestling with shadows is the name of doc) that seemed like Bret was the only one who wasn't in on that script of losing. Just as Curtis wasn't aware he would be pounded multiple times after being completely KOed already..I could be wrong, just a gut feeling. But one thing I know I am right about is that pro sports and all sports you can bet on are scripted or rigged. I interchange the words but script is a better word for it
I swear hearing Curtis speak makes me a bigger fan of his, he is so genuine and I would have never known that he had a speech impediment unless he told me and for him to say that publicly to the world is very courageous
Guys like Blaydes and Lewis are such a breath of fresh air because they speak truthfully and ccx really just from the heart...dont boast and brag about all this or tha or accolades...just great competitive fighters, that's what I like to see....get in there....bang and throw down and afterwards just keeping it real and on an even keel.

There are fighters who learn that their best option to make money and to get opportunities is to talk trash and there are fighters who just need to respect the sport and win to get where they need to be. After 20+ minutes of taking down a 6'7 beast
I mean he was but it still showed he had crazy cardio. He shot like 20+ _blast doubles_ against a huge guy at like 260. Cain would often half ass attempts to get into the clinch, he would rarely if ever shoot for double legs like that. Plus he was like 25 pounds lighter than Curtis, so you'd expect him to have good cardio for the division. The 260+ pound guys rarely have the highest workrates.
@M Harish Unfortunately it's not always so simple, and the Stipe anecdote doesn't certify that it's always the case. Being a bigger guy helps his top pressure and being able to overpower guys. Even if it's not all lean muscle, grappling with even a fat guy is a very different challenge. I don't think body recomposition is totally necessary.
