About A Clockwork Orange:
Being the adventures of a young man...who loved a bit of the old ultra-violence...went to jail, was brain washed...and came out cured...or was he? In a futuristic welfare state, Alex (Malcolm McDowell), a vicious young hoodlum, sleeps all day and spends his nights roaming the city with his droogs (friends), assaulting innocent people in the streets and in their homes. Finally captured by the police, Alex undergoes rehabilitation in the form of aversion therapy as brutal and horrifying as any of his offenses.

  • It’s still so hard to believe that the character Alex is supposed to be 15 😅

    @ketchup8965@ketchup89654 ай бұрын
    • That's the book. Alex is shown here to be a young man, late teenager because Kubrick and Burgess felt it would be too disturbing and distracting watching younger teenagers engaging in all the ultra violence.

  • Does anyone else apart from me think that Malcolm McDowell would have been excellent as Hannibal lecter if Hopkins turned down the role?

    @stephenreed970@stephenreed9702 жыл бұрын
    • Just you then!!! Hopkins isn't athletic enough to kick people in the head and he lives behind glass so probably wouldn't be granted day release to act in this. Imagine lunchtime the rest of the cast wouldn't want him around if he was hungry.

  • A Clockwork Orange brings with is a strong critique of society, showzinho scene of violence previously little explored, the language used, the narrative is perfect, the best in the history of cinema in my opinion, photography and soundtrack border on perfection. A clockwork Orange It’s a film Far ahead of its time and it gave me a passion for cinema, so that’s why It’s my favorite film, because of its construcion, plot, photography, score, language and especially the shock it causes, sepalino to everyone, Cinema does not only serve as a means of entertainment but as means of expressiom, point of view and criticism.
