This is a follow up to our activated charcoal teeth whitening video but this time around, we wanted to try other whitening products that our viewers have asked us about.
• Benefits & Risks of Ac...
The first product Tara tried was Auraglow
You may have seen this teeth whitening product advertised on social media. The tray has a built in LED light included which ads a pretty cool effect to your whitening routine. We also asked tara to try the Whitening Pen by Auraglow that may be a bit inconvenient, and didn't add a noticeable change to her teeth. If you’ve had other experiences please let us know!
Tara was happy with her results and would definitely use the product again.
Auraglow Whitening Pen: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...
Auraglow Kit: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...
The second product that Skyler tried was Opalescense.
He used moldable whitening trays with 20% peroxide in them and he also used their whitening toothpaste. We feel that Skyler got the best result, but let us know what you think!
Opalescense Peroxide: www.amazon.com/Opalescence-Te...
Opalescense Toothpaste: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...
The third product that Beth used was the Super Smile #TeethWhitening Kit.
She liked the toothpaste that came with it but thought that the rinse didn't taste very good. Nonetheless this is a great product that we have seen others get great whitening results with!
Super Smile Teeth Whitening Kit: www.amazon.com/Supersmile-Min...
The fourth product that Deborah used was MI Paste.
This is a dental grade paste that is mainly used for sensitivity, but Doreen used it before and said that she thought it whitened her teeth, so Deborah thought she would give it a try.
MI Paste: www.buy-mipaste.com/products/...
IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE TEETH OR GUMS
MI Paste will definitely help to mitigate the sensitivity and it tastes great!
The fifth and final product Doreen tried was the Crest 3D White Strips.
This product seemed to be the easiest and most convenient teeth whitening product that we tested. They are undetectable and Doreen definitely got whiter teeth as a result of the whitening strips!
Crest 3D White Strips: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...
This is not a paid advertisement by any of these companies, we just thought this would be a fun and educational video for all of you to learn a bit more about some of these products on the market!

  • For ease of use I'd say the Crest Whitening Strips are best, especially if you're a busy person. The Opalescence product looked to have worked really well and hits a marker of ease of use while also being more potent. Both Doreen and Skylar had relatively great results for each of their products. I would also agree that the MI Paste didn't seem to work at all, so i'll probably avoid that product, hopefully Debora can find another product that will work for her.. Other than that, the volunteering for the products are great. There aren't many product reviews and the information about the products coming from workers in the Dental offices makes that evaluation more reliable. Thank you!

  • Thanks! I did not start looking at whitening my teeth until I was in my late 60’s and tried the Crest 3D strips, as well as some other brand using the trays. While I got good results, I began to find that one of my front teeth whitened more than the other one. Plus I have fangs top and bottom that also whitened more than all the rest ... yikes! Then I tried some dried charcoal powder and brushed throughly for at least 5 minutes and got much better results between the teeth and by the gums. (but realize now to not do this very often or never again, because of the abrasiveness of the charcoal :((( ... anyways, seems doing tests with folks over 60 would be a better experiment. AND how to address teeth that do not whiten evenly. (I was thinking about cutting up a colgate strip to fit only the tooth is not whitening like the rest. And do the same from all my bottom teeth between the 2 super white fangs ... 😂 ... we are so vane ... I see folks like Peter O’Toole whom clearly never whitened his teeth and he still got roles 😂

You may feel a little sensitivity at first but that stopped by regular use. Definitely recommend them and inexpensive. Thank you for this video. It would have been better if you had shown the people who were older and actually had stained teeth. If you have already beautiful white teeth stain free then whitening products like these are not going to make them look that much whiter. Teeth can only become whiter with professional Lazer treatment which is very expensive. Thanks anyway. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💫

I'll just stay with my Crest 3D white strips. The My Smile from Amazon seems to whiten your teeth a bit. But, the mouth tray is so big it stretches my mouth too much and my cheeks start to ache. No thank you! Thats a deal breaker. Plus they only give you a litte of the whitening stuff in those syringes, so no again! Too messy., literally you have to drain the drool every 4 minutes or so. • So I just got the auraglow from amazon yesterday. I paid about 50 bucks for it.. I used it for 30 mins yesterday, and I used it for 10 this morning. I must say, I had my doubts... I smoke cigarettes, and I drink coffee, so I figured this wouldn’t work, but low and behold, after MY first USE my teeth were whiter, not by much, but you could tell the difference. The reason I did 10 minutes today, is because I felt a ping of pain in my front tooth, so I turned it off- Still worked. I actually enjoy this product. I did how ever use a sensitivity toothpaste for my teeth called Pronamel afterwards... So that I think helped calm things down a bit. But overall, and so far, I’d give the auraglowa 8/10. And that’s just because I’ve only used it two days. I’ll continue to use it for the rest of the week, to see. Thanks for reading! I’ll probably post again once the 5 days are up.

    • Kayondo Thomas alright, so I’m going to be 100% honest. This really does work... I’m pretty skeptical about things like this, you know? And I didn’t think it would work. But it does. Seriously, get it if you’re wanting a whiter smile. I absolutely love mine! Now, the only downside? Sensitivity. My teeth have been a TINY bit sensitive, BUT using my pronamel has helped it. My cousin had the same issue, but she said after a week and a few days her sensitivity was gone. So overall I now give this product a 9/10. Get it and try it; you won’t regret it. And if you do get it, hit me up here, let me know how it is!!! Edit: and like I said in my comment up there, I smoke cigarettes (sadly about a pack a day. Nasty I know. I’m trying to slow down and then STOP) I drink about 4 or 5 cups of coffee a day, so that doesn’t really help... but this auraglow literally pushes through that and whitened my teeth. And this is my personal experience, nobody is telling me to say this.. I swear it 100%. Anyway; that’s my input on it. Have a fantastic morning /day/night!! 🤗

  • What would you recommend between Auraglow and Crest whiting strips?

    @luisvalencia48@luisvalencia484 жыл бұрын
  • I use the high-end Crest 3D White Supreme Flex Fit strips. The whitening is profound, lasts a long time, and doesn’t cause any sensitivity issues with me. During the whitening period (20 days!) I really try to avoid coffee, wine, etc. It is encouraging and exciting to see the daily progress. After about day 15, my teeth are almost too white, if that’s possible, and I sometimes save the remaining strips for a shorter touch-up regimen later on. I also try to deal with food stains right away by brushing. Many people have complemented me on my teeth, even strangers, and ask what I do to make them so white. Crest strips, watch what you eat and drink, brush as needed or at least twice a day (I use a basic Sonicare.). That’s it. I also visit my dentist-who I think is the best in the world!-for regular cleaning and checkups. There must be other Creat strips fans out there.

  • I like the crest white strips. I actually currently buy the crest white strips and the Walmart knock off brand. I use the strips everyday but alternate between the crest strips and the knock off ones. I’ve seen a huge difference in the color of my teeth. Sensitivity occurs during the first few uses and also if you happen to apply the strip too much on top of the gums rather than just over the teeth. I liked Beths transformation. Hi

Very easy to use!!! But it seems as though from the research on the INet......the Crest Strips seem to be the winner....so......I will try both. Great video!!! ☺

It works beautifully. When i worked for an oral surgeon i got a one year supply of it for $50! People used to tease me and say that they needed sunglasses when i smiled at them. Lol. Anyways, thanks for sharing your experiment results with us!

  • Hi! I’m currently using the PlusWhite gel/tray whitening, it is definitely whitening my teeth really well without the sensitivity BUT it isn’t lasting well, I have to use it every day or so to keep results :( any recommendations for something that lasts longer again keeping the pain minimal? I have extremely sensitive teeth, thank you!

  • How does an LED light (which doesn't produce UV light) help the peroxide in the whitening gel? The fundamentals of tooth whitening is using peroxide (which is really bad for your teeth) mixed in with UV rays to speed up the whitening process.

  • Opalessence didn’t work at all for me even at the 35% strength. I used it one day for 35 min but not multiple times. It’s hard to find a good wide arch tray for whitening too. I will paint it on and put wads of padding in cheeks to keep it from migrating but I’m wondering if yellow stains will ever come out without killing your enamel. There is supposed to be a Dr office whitener for tetracycline stains which my husband has but I forgot.

  • Hi im interested in whitening my teeth and am curious if i should go for one of these products or go to the dentist and pay a couple hundred euros, what would be the safer and better because i dont know much about this. I have a tiny bit of white lining on the top of my teeth beside the gum (i think its the thing that can become caries and black if youre not careful with proper teeth hygene) and that discolouration looks hideous because the rest of my teeth arent as white as that. Would whitening them at the dentist even be a viable option for me?

  • I have used opalescence 35% for years. I have custom whitening trays from my dentist's office and buy the opalescence from Amazon. I put the Peroxide gel into my tray at night and leave them in all night. It's a bit overkill since the 35% is only supposed to stay on for 30 minutes, however, the results for me are almost immediate when I wake up in the morning (5-6 hours later). I do it 2 times a week for 1 week and I am usually about 3-4 shades brighter. I will say, for some reason, the peroxide effect still lingers after a while. The peak whiteness for my teeth usually comes about a week after my treatment week. I think the bleaching effect may intrude into the pores of the teeth slowly which means there is a delay for best results. I am completely happy with this setup mainly because it is extremely inexpensive in comparison to in-house whitening. My custom trays were the most expensive part, it cost me about 240$ but it was easy since I already had a custom mold of my teeth from my retainer.

  • Wanted to make a note about blue led lights! Regardless of whitening effects it absolutely kills bacteria. It will heal a canker sore fast, my medusa piercing was getting infected and it healed that in 2 days. (With sea salt water rinses) ♡ have gingivitis? Floss, brush, sea salt rinse, water pick helps, mouth wash with that medicine from the dr. Us mi paste and the mouth wash will stain teeth over time so only use it when gums are actually infected. Do everything the doctor days then add blue light led for up to 10 min every other day. When your gums heal, then get another cleaning for plaque staining. Then use a whitener! ♡ continue using mi paste if you use whitener.
