  • The other fruit wrapped in plastic is called Jackfruit or Langka in Filipino. You should try it. Make sure to buy the ripe ones. It is sweet too and a little fibrous. Langka is a relative of Durian.

  • There are many varieties of Durian and the one you tried is a good introduction because it has a mild smell and taste. It's like wine, each variety will have a different aroma and taste. It can get smelly, like feet that haven't been washed for a month. It can really stink up the refrigerator and apartment

  • The other fruit is jackfruit/langka. You might have eaten it as it's one of the ingredients in halo-halo. Kudos for trying durian fruit. I can bear the durian candies, tart or jam, but I can't seem to stand the fruit itself

  • *_you can buy bottled sweet jackfruit/langka in the groceries. it is one of the main ingridient in halo halo. the unriped langka with coconut milk is one of the yummy dish. you can also eat the riped langka as it is!_*

  • Davao has a festival in August called Kadayawan and it's usually a week long. And it's durian season! Very cheap during that time and it's everywhere in Davao.

  • Won's dad, hello..there is a fruit farm in Talisay City, Negros Oriental, just on the other side of the island. the name is JKN fruit farm. They have marang, lanzones, rambutan, mangosteen, jackfruit, and durian in their farm. It's near the Compuestohan Highland resort, only 18 minute drive. Try them...

  • there are so many varieties of durian, slight bitter (arancillo, puyat), or sweet like caramel (native, D101, D102, Musangking, kob white, kob yellow, Duyaya, Monthong, D24) , but there is also a durian that don't taste good which might be unripe, overly ripe, or just a bad variety

  • If you smell durian for the first time it would smell very bad but once you have tasted the fruit the smell of the fruit it would literally change the way you look and smell durian. The fruit is really creamy. Durian is called the King of Fruits in Asia.

  • We celebrate Araw ng Davao this March 2024. The most exciting festival for our city is Kadayawan it is celebrated every August of the year it consists Flower Parade Float, Tribal dance competitions, alot of durians and other fruits

    • @hellophilippines513 Yeah, but the smell is really tolerable. It's a smell of nature like you actually tasted it like grass. One thing you must try is that you have to add milk powder and some ice cubes in a blender, making it a durian shake.

  • I think the pungent once are the overripe, ones already fermenting even inside the fruit. It will smell strong and taste but of alcohol.

  • Leave object in tire aline!! Thoes are side wall damage and cant be repaired by a shop due to liability.. also wires run in middle of tire mostly . I have had a nail in tire for a year but finalt it got pulled out by the gravel road .. just change it as soon as possible . ❤❤❤❤ Love the video i know the durian was the less smelly kind ..the worst are not from that area.

  • When i was in Davao, at the back of my aunt's house there are durian plants. The tree is just short and can be reached by hand not like that.. You cannliterally touch the fruit by your hand.. You will know if durian is ripe if the shells crack.. I know this when i was in nun convent beacause i was a working student before. At the back of the convent there is a durian tree. At the side there is a santol tree..

  • During the 80’s I used to live and work with the very affluent family in Singapore, I managed the household staffs. The property is huge with lots of durians and rambutan fruits. My boss doesn’t care much of the fruits that grown in our backyard , durians are left behind on the ground as they fall off when it ripens. Our lazy Malaysian gardener, pick them all up and sends them to his mistress. I found out about it, and called his wife to go pick up all the durians in our backyard as her husband might send it to his mistress. Its time I see durians it reminds me of our gardener and his mistress. 😂😂😂 I don’t eat durian ever since.

  • You wonder what is the other fruit..?.. It is called " JACKFRUIT".. "LANGKA" in tagalog... The one that was covered by blue plastic that crack is already ripe.. It's sweet if ripe.. It is also a natural way of deworming.. If young, it can be used and good for nilagang baboy or can also be put in monggo..

  • In my younger years in the Philippines I've never eaten Durian I've eaten fresh Durian here in UK and it was delicious and was very expensive our lovely friend treated us & bought the Durian that was 8years ago never eaten again because I couldn't afford it😂😂😂
