I hated those things. thankfully you never actually had to deal with them since they were just out in their own little corner of the field with nothing there.
I remember when I tried OoT at my local Walmart and that's how I died and I feared for weeks before it was released.
i love how like, in almost every other video, the protagonist is an unstoppable force of nature while the antagonists are just trying their hardest to survive, and then in the ocarine of time series link is just being abused at almost every turn
The difference here is that this is not a Speedrun, otherwise OoT Link would be as OP as BOTW Link.

Fun fact: In the original Ocarina of Time that one Goron kid is actually named after Link himself. Which implies that the Deku Tree didn't want a bottle of Pepto Bismol, he was actually just asking for Link.

I can't believe I just noticed this but the reason the Goron in Goron City in this video is named Pepto Bismol, is because in the first video the Deku Tree told Navi to get the Pepto Bismol, and Navi went and got Link. Pepto Bismol is the file name for Link here, and that Goron will always be named after the file name. That is insanely clever!

Here I am looking at the plate of 'peeled Gorons' off to the side right before Darunia breaks in! Common theme of 'resistance' is you are really tough on the outside (Goron rock hide) but rather weak to the same thing on the inside

I love how this gives a little screentime to just how terrifying freaking *peahats* , one of the weakest enemies in earlier installments are in Hyrule Field. They're like giant flying circular saws with a taste for blood that even deploy smaller flying circular saws like fighter craft.

I can't wait for more of this series. OoT is still my favorite series on this channel and is the one I rewatch the most.
I love how unnecessarily perilous the Fire Temple is. This isn't even an exaggeration. I think the only thing you missed was the Flare Dancer turning into a freaking bomb and exploding once you defeat it.
It's honestly my favorite Zelda temple, I just love how everything wants to murder you in the most wacky and unnecessary ways

What gets me every time without fail is the surrealism and subverted expectation when something is simply not animated, the most obvious example being when Link touches the chainlink fence to commence climbing but a still frame of him glides smoothly up the fence while the sounds of climbing are being made. It delights me to no end to see what a video game model animation error become an intentional joke in an animated cartoon. Thank you all very much for making this and sharing it. This genuinely makes me wish I could purchase a copy and have it framed on my wall so any viewer can experience the same giggle fest that almost made me spit my tea over my laptop.
I'm just hoping that whenever the Water Temple episode comes out and Link sees Ruto she's still screaming 7 years later.

I love how you perfectly encapsulated what a first time run of the Fire Temple is like. The feeling of the Temple itself trying to kill you, the Hookshot being the last thing you try on the fire dancers, that goofy little Goron walk, it's all there.
i never actually killed it with the hookshot lol. i used bombs, then once i had the megaton hammer i used that. pretty effective if you time it right.
@@deadfall3223 Well, you don't actually kill it with the hookshot. You just use it to pull the core towards you and than you can kill it with your sword, bombs, hammer, or whatever. Always thought the hammer was too slow so I would use my sword.
@@kevinbell5674 true, just never actually tried the hookshot, and i played and beat n64 version like 5 times growing up, and 3ds version like 3 times. i just think its funny i never once considered that lol.
@@deadfall3223 There’s no way for me to know exactly how many times I replayed the game on the N64, but for all those times I never tried using anything else to disrupt the dancing. Took so long to think to use the hookshot that I just assumed it was the only way.
