IMO they should keep the iPads the same thickness but add more cooling and battery
Facts, they’re thin enough now let’s use the extra space for cooling, battery size and more base storage

@@naim3968bends easily is pretty debatable. I’ve had a 12.9 M1 since they launched, and can’t imagine any way someone could bend one unless they’re trying to or do something stupid like sit on it.

yes i agree, i've been quietly waiting for them to update the mini series because it excels as a "Tablet" and not a "laptop replacement". The OS is flawed, you can't use a mobile phone os on a bigger screen and call that a laptop

yea like u said. the biggest thing holding ipad back is the software. its so disappointing that they just don't update it meaningfully. would be interesting if maybe 3rdparty appstores could fix at least some of that stuff.

iPad camera, it’s particular useful for businesses. I know our real estate agent has their software accessible on the iPad and they take photos during inspections directly from the iPad. That HomePod update… it’s almost like CarPlay with speakers built in using AC power. Also no iPad mini update? 😭

Needs the front facing camera on top in landscape mode! That alone would make it a worthwhile upgrade… I finally can use if for business.

The iPad Pro is confirmed to have a landscape front facing camera, according to iPadOS 17.4 beta (“Turn iPad to landscape to activate Face ID). Question now is: where to charge the Apple Pencil?? Also, I’m hoping the iPad Air gets the landscape front facing camera too; planning to FINALLY replace my 10.5” iPad Pro I got since December 2018. 12.9” iPad Air + landscape front camera + M3 = the perfect iPad for me! Speaking of M3, I’m hearing iPad Air is gonna have the M3, so hopefully the iPad Pro gets an M3/M3 Pro option like in Mac (you get to choose between M3/M3 Pro/M3 Max/M3 Ultra)

I still have the 1st iPad Pro 12.9 but would definitely look into getting a bigger screen if one came out and use the other one in my garage to do my workouts. The HomePod would definitely be in my kitchen.

And with doing that with a M3 Chip there could be thermal throttling. Plus, you can bend an Ipad Pro presently. Making it thinner means it will be easier to bend it in half.

They need to move the front facing camera to the side. I know they did with the base iPad and had issues with where to put the Apple Pencil magnets but spoiler alert put it on the shorter side like the surface pros used to do. Easy fix.

I was assuming the HomePod max would just be an attachment for the iPad. Like Google did it with its tablet.

If I could choose between the iPhone or MacBook MagSafe, I’d rather the MacBook MagSafe (& hopefully that could hint more to a more macOS experience rather than an iOS experience in a bigger device)
Hello, any news on the new Apple TV? Will there be an update this year, possibly with the A17 Pro or M1 chip to play AAA games on the Apple TV? Also, I'm interested in your opinion on the idea of Sony and Apple teaming up to bring a gaming console to the market. Is it realistic that this could be presented as "one More thing" at the next Apple event?

The camera upgrades are welcome for features like document scanning, FaceTime, or as a nearby convenience if my phone is charging somewhere else. But yeah, no one decides to take an iPad with them with the intention of taking pictures (Well actually maybe someone saved money on a cheaper phone and put more of their money into an iPad, so the iPad may actually be their best camera. Idk just speculating)
I wonder if the new magic keyboard will be backwards compatible with the current generation of iPad Pro?

I would actually not be a fan of adding a screen to a homepod, I have a Google nest hub max and I feel it’s already starting to show its age with functions ands speed. I think a much better idea is to have the iPad MagSafe dock to a home pod and function that way. Then I can update the iPad down the line without replacing a great sounding speaker…

@@randotuberBattery is fine believe it or not... I can still use procreate and it plays youtube vids and all the usual tablet consumer stuff just fine... The closest to pro software i ever had on it was illustrator ( a bit slow) and affinity designer performs ok, but not as good as the desktop experience. i think a new one would be overkill for me unless it became a 2 in 1 with a full OS and a few more inches of desktop real estate.

I'd say to check out the affinity apps, they're desktop class on the ipad and they're a one time payment
Any desktop app! bump up the screen size and add the pencil which will be great for navigation in macOS just like i do with a pen tablet plugged into my macbook pro which works great with the pen.

Me watching on my ipad 9th gen 64gb & I like this beast because it is more than good enough for my daily task since I am using it as my lyrics & for social media (netflix, apple tv, disney+, fb, etc..).. I also enjoy it for very light gaming like 8 ball pool, soccer, puzzle games etc...

Rather than a big Home Pod with a display, I would rather Apple go to an MacBook Retina (or MacBook SE) with a 12 inch display for $699, as some have been talking about. It's a great way to get people who cannot afford a MacBook Air, and Apple can use it to clear out inventory of older parts, like M1 or M2 chips.
I want to see Apple release a MacBook that’s similar to the Surface Laptop Studio, one that can double as a tablet and a laptop seamlessly by folding the keyboard behind the screen.

And that will be better for gaming if it's like MagSafe on an iPhone because the charging cable is right where my hands usually go
Fitted with the exact same cameras as an iPhone, the iPad will be better for taking photos and videos. The larger device is easier to hold and stabilise, less susceptible to motion and the larger screen not only gives you a bigger viewfinder to frame your shot but also allows for more controls and live sensor information to be on screen e.g. histogram. Cameras on iPad open up photography to many more people. People who may not be able to use an iPhone due to age or disability. Also the cameras provide additional functionality such as document scanning and turning the iPad into large digital magnifier. I have the 2021 12.9” pro and couldn’t imagine my daily life without it. It’s so much better for scanning documents (easier to hold still compared to an iPhone), and using the iOS magnifier on such a big display is incredible. Before the iPad got cameras, I and many other partially sighted people needed separate digital magnifiers, and document scanners / readers. These were specialist devices designed for and aimed at low vision users, and because of the limited market they were extremely expensive compared to the cost of even an iPad Pro.
What about the iPad mini?

iPad's need screen mirroring from iPhone. I use my iPhone to create videos but I can't always see what I am doing. I considered buying an iPad then found out a lot of people use a third party app to mirror their iPhone to their iPad. I think that not having this feature is actually so shocking
