    • @@sirdiealot53 All in the Family and Good Times. Start there. I think those were his two most influential works. As a 57 year-old white American, a kid when those shows were on, I was shocked, entertained, and I laughed at the reality those shows presented - in their own silly way. Lear was a fearless writer who upset people on the left and the right, but he gave us a lot to think about, and he thrived when he wrote about the imperfections in all of us. Like, being a bigot is an awful thing, but even bigots are human, and they deserve love. Somehow he navigated that. It made sense when he told those stories. We are all flawed humans with a lot to learn, and we all deserve a chance, and love.

    • bro Kimmel is so disappointing. I guarantee at some point in his life he was a cool guy you'd like to be friends with. Or maybe not honestly it's hard to say, because making weird comments and videos like this make it clear he has a hatred for trump. I'm not a trump supporter hating on him. I am an individual who uses my own brain to think and whenever I see ANY person push so hard for one side, it has become more and more clear, it is either become they are paid off, or very ignorant. In his position, he is more than likely paid off.

The humor helped us to see that many of those who spout hate, often do so in ignorance, from every race, color, and creed. He had and will continue to have an impact through his shows and characters. The knob was so full of tiny numbers that it definitely wasn't precise. Remember that the knob on the left had to be on the "U"!!! And wiggle the rabbit ears every time we changed the channel. I bet cumulatively: our generation spent a month of our lives trying to adjust the knobs and antenna.

Girls Girls Girls, He became an establishment figure head... or have you not seen him give the Vegas treatment of The Battle Hymn of The Republic. Through Vietnam and the civil rights struggle ???? AWOL because he was a right wing Republican.. or his audience was. Symbiotic. Sorry being a sex symbol when you splash on the scene is marketing ..not rebellion. He was daring in high school.. eye make up and too fashionable clothes for Tennessee.@@runnergo1398
