  • After watching the old Camaro video, I noticed how much happier you sound nowadays with your own shop. WOW! I remember watching your videos while you were at that other shop and even at the dealership. Since you opened up your own shop, your overall mood and attitude in your videos has been so much happier, even on your “bad” days you still project more joy in your work than was evidenced in those older videos. That is so awesome! Thanks, Ray, for sharing your work and life with us strangers on the internet.

I'm hoping later in the video he later realizes the mistake. However, my first thought is that the blend door is busted. It's a notorious issue with the 5th gen. Happens from people keeping their temp knob maxed out to the left or right.

Found out the high pressure line I replaced was defective. They did not drill the hole from the high pressure sensor hole to the port leading to the receiver dryer. Replaced it and now the AC is at 42.

    @rickcampbell1846@rickcampbell1846Ай бұрын
    • Agree, but a hanging sign above the door perpendicular to the door so you see it as you look into the bays. Maybe even get a fancy one with an arrow. Then another sign by the bay doors that states - "No customers allowed/Mechanic's only" or something to that effect, for liability purposes. One could even paint the door another color so it stands out.

Preston just recently replaced cam position uniit on my Ford 98 ranger 4.0 with 208 K. Could not get to it ( rear of engine no clearance) due to my age pushing 70. Wife bought Ranger in1999. • My Nissan Primera had a steering leak like that at 4 years old. Nissan quoted £1200 + £800 labor to replace. I got it fixed at a PS specialist reconditioning outfit for £600 all up - and they added a second o-ring on the input shaft to deal with the known leaking issue those PS units had. It was still solid 16 years later when the car was scrapped

  • There’s a funny phenomenon with those cars the AC acts up also power steering is funny. Sometimes the transmission act up because if the AC compressor shot and messes up something with electrical for a don’t ask, I don’t know also I just needs a new crankshaft position sensor

  • Awesome videos, but as for the door of death, you could paint a line on the pavement saying customer's this way. I used to be a truck driver and that's how they corralled us into the right door lol, silly but it worked

  • Lol, I’m on my second remote with the missing buttons. I usually wait till all the buttons are missing before I replace. Can find the remotes on the internet and they are not expensive. I bought 3 in one time and have one new one left before I need to restock.

  • If I’m not mistaken the shift forks, if they’re aluminum tend to bend easily if shifted quickly and the driver sort of “misses” the gear. You can drive around it if you’re particular about entering the gear vertically instead of on the angle inherent if you’re coming from second… which is most likely how the fork got potentially bent. Diagnosis - learn how to drive

  • That p/s leak is bad, I hope they let you fix it soon. That V6 setup is probably very similar to what's in my 2015 Colorado. Wish you were closer so I could have you service it. I'm not as flexible as I once was and also treat myself to having someone service it.
