Grace VanderWaal LAUGHS at Old AGT Interview and Talks Hollywood Stargirl (Exclusive)
ET's Denny Directo chats with 'Hollywood Stargirl' star Grace VanderWaal about her new Disney+ film, a sequel to 2020's 'Stargirl.' Grace shares what she's been up to in the two years since the original movie's release, reflecting on the artistic growth she's pursued in the pandemic. Grace chats about how Stargirl lives in a perfect world, but that her career endeavors exist in messy, real life. She teases her next era of music and gushes over sharing the screen with Uma Thurman. I remember when she won AGT, Me and my Mom's Boyfriend knew she would win, I loved her debut ep and her Debut Album. She is becoming a star, she has grown up so fast and she is still amazingly talented.

@@sinsin3123 Grace is still a very sweet and kind person, but to want someone to remain "innocent" forever is weird and unrealistic because that will never happen for anyone. She's 18 now and not a 12-year-old child anymore. She grew up and is doing great.

I wish we as humans were kinder to ourselves. When we get older we realise those moments we look back on weren't cringeworthy, they're actually cute. Don't waste energy trying to be someone else, we can only be ourselves and do that the best. And ultimately people love authenticity.
It was apparent since AGT she was a natural and the relaxing manner she handled interviews from the beginning showed she belonged infront of the cameras. Watching her react to herself as a child at this level is something few can experience. At least she didn't do what she has done in the past and say "oh, cringe"
Grace is as authentic as they come. She called her younger self "so cute" in this interview, so she still can appreciate those moments. She has also acknowledged that she will most likely look back on her early years with a lot more fondness as she gets older. She has a good head on her shoulders.

I saw the movie and I liked it. It’s a feel good coming of age story. After watching 2 seasons of Treme I needed something a little more positive. This did the trick. Her acting was better in this second movie.
