  • If even 10% of Leftists spoke the way Slavoj Zizek speaks, More people on the Right would listen. As I Conservative myself with fairly RIght leaning sensibilities, I WANT to hear opinions that are different from my own! But the way the Left brings those opinions is always so childish and one dimensional. It just turn me right off. Zizek makes me listen and think and even when I still disagree with him(which doesn't actually happen to terrible frequently), I still reap two benefits. One: I've heard a reasonable counter to my own argument and Two: BECAUSE the argument is so well formulated, I'm forced to start from the beginning of my own argument and make sure that I still believe those things. Absolutely invaluable.

He's made a career out of two types of interviews: 1) demolishing guests who parrot the mainstream narrative 2) finding common ground with guests who the mainstream hates. Funnily enough zizek and Andrew Tate are both category 2, which nicely demonstrates the fact that piers is not pushing a particular view of the world, he's trying to construct interesting/popular interview content, each existing in complete isolation.
