Aah the rgb on the huntsman but the extra usb cable routing and Key variety on black widow
I hope one day to have all the RGB and USB passthrough on the same keyboard but until then we have to decide which we can compromise without lol.

only criticism i could give you is if you turn the lights off when showing the RGB effects as it's easier to see but other than that great video. Convinced me im making the correct choice going for the Huntsman elite.

Thanks - from someone of a similar age to you :) I need to replace my Ducky One (which I love) with Cherry Browns as I need dedicated multimedia keys. I work and study (and have a family, etc), and given that all lectures are now online in Australia, it's really frustrating. Adjusting my Basilisk mouse to accommodate just isn't cutting the mustard. If Ducky made a keyboard that had dedicated multimedia, I'd be in. I've worn most of my Ducky keycaps smooth, so it may be obvious that my keyboard is predominantly for typing (loooong assignments). I've heard negative reviews re the Corsairs and the Das, of the types that would drive me nuts. All the dedicated typing keyboards have found, have the same layout as my Ducky. I'm glad you gave a good review on the purple switches as I was seriously looking at the Huntsman Elite.....I honestly don't give a fiddler's fart about its RGB capabilities and wow factor - I touch-type, and I wind the brightness down too. :)

BW imo is better then the HE. If you want just pure latency speed then the HE
Thank you for the Video ! I have tested two Huntsman eLite and i have a Problem with them. I have on some Keys a wired high frequent Ping Sound. Only on the some of the Switches. I think the small Stabalizer under zhe Cap is the Problem. Do you noticed the Sound Issue ?
Hi, No I hadn't come across this sound, as you say maybe a stabiliser is scratching or not quite in place.

I bought them both on the day of release.
Take note if you game that the clicky sound from the huntsman is probably annoying if your using a mic while gaming

I feel like if they just made some opto mechanical switches for the huntsman that are quieter it would be the best consumer keyboard of all time. I do have to admit thought the current opto mechanicals (purples) feel so good to press it's like every keystroke is a braingasm

If you want RGB the go with the huntsman but if you want to decide which switch to use then go BW

i only wish the media buttons and the numlock dots didnt have that insane white light no matter what you do :( looks terrible when i have every other key under control :) but yeah I also got the elite with yellow but adore the huntsman stripes...

@@Beardedbob is it possible to costumize the keys so numlock would work reversed? Like "no light = num lock on" and "light = num lock off" and maybe even change the numlock colour only after pressing the numlock itself?

Showing the lighting effects with the lights on is...bizarre. Why? Couldnt even see it
Hi, Yeah It's tricky to capture it under low light due to noise. There are some lower light shots in each individual review but for this, I wanted to remove as much noise as possible hence the lighter shots. The huntsmans to appreciated you need to see in person as it looks epic in the dark but this would not come out well in a video through here is a picture I took showing it off instagram.com/p/BoaR__-lpq8/?

Either as both are good. It will depend more on the switches as the BW has mech and the HM has opto mech

Can these keyboard work with MAC OS?
Razer would need to confirm There is MAC software for Synapses 2 but these use Synapses 3 and as far as I can tell this is windows only atm so you might not be able to control it.

Blackwidow Elite with Yellow Switch is still not available on amazon, poor for someone that lives in a Banned country yea i'm from iran, even amazon wont support us we have to buy them from other people who living out of iran and they send them to us (with a Hefty Price, something like a Titan V Price for a Keyboard)

And on which keyboard are the fastest switches?
I have done a latency test though I expect both to be very similar. The key actuation on the Huntsman is 45g which comes in the same as Yellow though to me the Huntsman seems faster in RL as he seems to have a shorter press, though not by much. Whether its noticeable in RL when gaming say is debatable.
@@Beardedbob The razer website says that the yellow switches have a 1.2 mm keystroke. And in the RAZER OPTO-MECHANICAL, the key is 1.5 mm.
will be hard to feel 0.3mm travel to confirm. Typing the HE feels lighter even though that have the same actuation, it comes down to the feel of the switch and spacing of the keys/keycap feel. I'll have to see if I can tell the speed difference on a few keyboards, not sure I will be able to or can measure it.

You liking the Tactile bump but quieter click? That sucks it wasn't well published and the release felt like it just came out of know where. The BW Elite was the same hopefully they make them more public so we don't buy just before an updated version drops.

What is it that makes you prefer it?
I like the extra USB port and to most other people it’s useful but to me I don’t really need it and I like the backlit LEDs on the huntsman and the purple switches. Those are the main things that I prefer over the Blackwidow Elite.
