His parents are still alive and they didn’t leave him. When he was 7, he was scouted by Genk and he had to move very far away from his home town. So Genk paid a foster family to take care of him and they did for one season. Then he went back to his real parents for the summer break and found his mother crying. She told him that the foster family didn’t want him anymore because he was too “difficult”. So then Kevin told himself that he wouldn’t return home a failure in the next season. Sure enough, he returned to Genk the following season and went crazy, once scoring five goals in one half. Then the foster family wanted him back but he rejected them. But he later said that he should have thanked them, because this incident fueled his career. What a player 🔥

Just to clarify the kdb situation Actually kdb was in a foster home and the foster family had enough of young kdbs antics and ended up abandoning him. Kdbs biological parents are living in belgium and kdb is on good terms with them 👍

CR7 lost his dad while playing in the 2006 WC btw. The Portuguese national coach had to tell him the news. He really cried on the pitch. Messi loved his Beloved Grandmother who was the reason he ever played football and while everyone told Messi to quit, she supported him all the way. Sorry Leva but I never knew about his father’s death (I hated and Bayern hate them more) . It’s sad he and his team aren’t doing so well. KDB is a real man. He lived through what many of us couldn’t live through even if it was in a foster home and still people don’t let him talk. I find that despicable. Let the guy talk. Just don’t let him cook (I’m an Arsenal fan and yes I am in pain).
