    • When I have instant ramen I can’t be bothered. I really just boil water in a kettle and pour it on the noodles and add the flavour packages. Everything else would defeat the purpose for me. Takes no time at all. When i have like 10 minutes I’d rather roast some veggies and add rice noodles or couscous and add my own herbs and spices.

    • I'm not a fan of Bragg's personally as it tastes a bit too much of vinegar, I go for traditional tamari as a gluten free option instead. Still has more bite to it than the mostly-wheat shoyu, but you get that soy flavor and the actual fermentation that really elevates it. I've been doing this for years with creamy PB, never tried with crunchy for some reason. I'll give it a go next time hubby gets crunchy. 😋

  • Roast beef ramen with green onions (or dried chives) with sliced mushrooms and cream cheese for a mock-stroganoff. You can also add a little barbecue seasoning/smoked paprika and cayenne along with a little blue cheese if you have it for a play on black and blue steak/burger. You can do it with the packet in the cooking water for a lighter taste, or by cooking the noodles first and then add the packet to a smaller amount of cooking liquid after partially draining the noodles. 🍜

  • I like to make a garlic cilantro sauce to put in my ramen (must be cooked to al dente (about 2 minutes) , no more than a cup of water and the seasoning packet (for the broth). The sauce has (roughly) 4 bunches of cilantro, garlic paste or about 8 cloves of garlic, either 2 seeded jalapeños or about 10 good shakes of green Tabasco sauce, about 3 to 4 teaspoons of salt and then equal parts of lemon juice, white distilled vinegar and oil of your choice (personal preference is canola). I then blend in a Ninja blender until a vibrant but 1 color green (about 2 minutes).

  • I love chicken ramen. I make mine by putting the noodle block in a bowl, sprinkle the seasoning on the block, then fill the bowl with water - and microwave it. I then let them sit & steam & absorb most of the water for about 20 minutes - It stays hot as long as it's covered with a plate & towel. I then add some cooked broccoli & carrots, maybe some mayo, but I don't add a lot of extras.

  • Sending encouragement to anyone who was made to feel self conscious about their forehead by a careless comment from a stranger. There is no “normal” head shape; none of you look “weird,” I assure you!

  • My favorite quick peanut sauce is peanut butter, vinegar (rice, apple, whatever you have on hand), soy sauce, your favorite hot sauce. Mix it together & put on anything. Noodles. Veggies. Proteins (it's amazing on tofu).

  • I eat my ramen half soupy, half a packet of seasoning with a little pool of water and a giant dollop of cashew butter, like a quarter to a third a cup, it thins out with the water to be a drier noodle dish and I eat it with chicken, shrimp or beef depending on what's available in my fridge or freezer

  • Peanut sauce or peanut butter in ramen (or noodles) are a savoury dish in China, called Dan-Dan Noodles!! They are my favourite dish to get EVER at a shanghai restaurant. There are spicy versions with chili flakes and chili oil, and it SLAPS so hard. The dish is made up of a peanut-based soup, white noodles, cucumber slivers, crushed peanuts, chili flakes and oil, and green onion. This dish is honestly one of my favourite since I was young, and there has been no other noodles that I could eat 3 bowls of. SO GOOD and you just got me hungry at 12am.
