  • Captain I’ve been watching your vids since the jet boat and finally I’m able to afford a 19 ft used boat. Been rewatching your vids and sucking in all the info. I pick it up Saturday and can’t wait. I appreciate all the insights on the diy and plz keep them coming. Look forward to finally getting out on the water after 6 plus yrs of dreaming🙏

  • Captain, it's great to see your warming videos with a t-shirt while I'm in 18-degree temps! Enjoy buddy!!

  • Captain you make all this stuff look easy. Putting on a clinic as usual. Really enjoy your attention to details.

  • Thanks for doing this WP video. Will be doing my f150 soon and your demo shows all the tricks. I've done 50 hp and 15 hp but never a motor this large. I hope mine goes as well as yours did.

  • For any other F200's owners who put it all back together and get a bad clunk at low RPM's (it sounds like prop chatter, but worse)....preload the the shaft/pinion space by PULLING UP ON THE DRIVE SHAFT while hammering down the metal collar over the plastic bushing / 3 washers. Its a lot easier to have someone help to do this step.

  • Hi Capt.... this is one of the best 'how to do' videos on KZhead... Thank you!.... The last time the mechanic did this on our Yamaha, he broke that nylon nipple when re-installing the lower unit. Instead of me having to get the boat back on the trailer, and taking it to their shop (which is a major pain-in-the-stern ☺for me), he came to my house in a work-boat, dropped the lower unit and fixed it all with the boat on the boat lift. He's a great mechanic, like you!

  • Now is the right time to do maintenance before the good weather begins again. Great video as always, can’t wait to see you in paradise again.

  • Excellent tutorial on changing an impeller. Having been born and raised in Miami and working there for many years I had many Cuban friends and co-workers. I noticed several things about their English pronunciation . One thing was that “B” and “V” sounded identical when you called Yamaha “Jamaha” it took me back to Miami days. Thanks for your fun videos.

  • You should've sanded the side of the new woodruff key down a little bit. Had same issue with my F150. Sanded/filed a tiny amout off the woodruff key and never had an issue since. And use anti-sieze instead of grease on the key too.

  • Nice work. Pro tip I learned from an older gentleman that worked in the outboard racing business. After removing the plastic housing on the water pump. Remove the 2 alignment dowels on the steel plate and you can remove the plate around the woodruff key without needing to take the key out. The hole in the plate is just big enough to slip by it. Saves so much time and no need to ever remove the key, just clean around it.
