A scammer sends me a virus! - Part 1
In the UK, this video cannot be seen because of a 'defamation' complaint raised by someone claiming to represent Micro PC Support. I am currently fighting this because the video does give an accurate representation of what I experienced on 28/03/2018. It's a pity that KZhead have sided with a scammer!
Micro PC Support, aka TechCure, uploaded a virus to my desktop and looked at my personal emails while left on an unattended PC. This is Part 1 of this video. In Part 2, I listen to the excuses they make for their actions.

If you have the most popular google chrome Adblock then you can disable the Adblock for a certain KZhead channel
Because of his skills he will have plenty of other ways to make money. I have adblocker because of the ads. When they stop putting the ads inside the videos, I’ll consider disabling adblocker. There is absolutely no reason why they couldn’t run the ads in the commentary block or in the suggestion carrousel on the side panel.
I keep it enabled because it takes up more data than the video I'm watching.
This guy is ingenious. His soft, deliberate tone of voice as he describes the hacker's actions is mesmeric, "Prakash then disabled my virus protection, inserting a polymorphic virus," like a doctor describing a post mortem on a corpse

Just don't use windows. After the release of Windows 10 it's the biggest scam in existence. It's no wonder people who use it fall for this kind of thing.

SO now l hope you guys understand why a corrupted IP address wouldn't even be possible. That's like saying Your Home address is corrupted and you need to contact your landlord to fix it.....

I think its a combo of: 1. Trying to regain some control by following the script, because they are lowkey feeling like they’re slipning. 2. A lesser understanding of English. 3. Trying to find another way of scamming the target even more, by keep on talking.

LMAO I was watching this and got called by a scammer. It was a call from Rhode Island, so I answered it because that's where I live. All I heard before hanging up in an instant was "This is an important message to the owner of this vehicle-" I texted them "Nice try, asshole. I don't even own a vehicle." And then blocked the number. Stay safe, everyone!

Thank you for exposing these crooks. My elderly father almost got stung for around £3000 by these scammers but luckily his bank blocked the two transfers they attempted. Keep up the great work you do because you make a difference.

I have heard personally that church parishoners at various churches have been scammed by lowlifes like these. They send emails saying that the pastor needs help--which of course the pastor knows nothing about. All it would take is a phone call to the church, but there is a sense of urgency in scams, and the convenience of clicking a link. My pastor was heartbroken about all this. Thank you, Jim, for taking down these evil-serving people!!!
You know, I dunno if anyone has said this, but the fact that you call out EXACTLY what the scammer is saying when they're lying is really, really helpful. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to software and computers, but I don't know everyone by any stretch of the imagination and it really helps inform me. I can only imagine how helpful a video like this is for someone who is less versed in computers.
There are a lot of scam baiting channels on KZhead, like kitboga, but you’re definitely the best. I love your technical way of calling them out and how you use your real knowledge in these calls. Keep it up man, sub well deserved

When I was younger, I got a pop up with a number to call for fixin, and I got me mum and da to witness my phone call. Mum was super skeptical, me... Should have been. The scammer took control of my laptop, did a bunch of random crap, tried to sell me a "clean up service" for 300. My mum was finally like, this man's lying, hang up, and the indian dude was like Well, you dinna have to listen to her, it's your device! 🤣 She took the phone told him he's a thief and a liar, and told me shit my laptop off. I kept it off for 3 days, I was terrified of him screwing up my laptop. Thanks Mum for teaching your illiterate daughter about scams!!

Jim I am not new to scamming but I am new to your channel, I have a great appreciation for all you are doing to help people. I wish that folks would use some common sense and think before they act. I have had that virus thing a time or two, I came to realize that all you have to do is restart your computer Thanks again for your hard work..

Lol, I do exactly the same thing ! I admire Jim Browning intensely, he's got a very calm demeanor and a soothing voice - and the content itself is fascinating. A genuine good guy, taking down dishonest, amoral bad guys. The only issue I have is that, when the scammers become enraged, their voices are a little grating. But overall it's one of the best channels on KZhead. To watch, or to sleep to. I've watched every video, so except for new ones, I listen to the rest while trying to nap.

I signed up for a monthly membership. You rock!!!! I love when you call stores or banks to forewarn them and ruin the scam. I was a licensed PI for years and I would get 3-4 calls a month from women who got scammed and some were taken for over 100k. So sad!!!! You keep shutting them down and if you ever need my voice to make calls let me know. I am awesome at pretexting and good at playing dumb. Love love love what you are doing!!!!!!
