brilliant performance. i thought Scott McTominay was excellent and showed what he could do when played in his proper position. that also allowed McGregor and McGinn more freedom to get on the ball and go forward with that defensive linchpin behind the both of them.

Nice to see that McTominay is hitting his prime now and playing like a monster for both united and Scotland. He’s coming up to 27 soon, which is about the right time for a late bloomer to reach their true potential at the top level. Just hope he gets to play a World Cup for us.

Dykes and McGinn and we’re good with those goals and the defence was good as Ukraine didn’t have any shots on target but I would need to pay lots of my respect to Adams, he switched on in the 2nd half a lot and he got lots of opportunities, saved, hit the bar, blocked, so unlucky that he didn’t score

Team was excellent, the managers system with these players playing it was flawless; best I've seen them play. Need to mention Adams, i slated him a while back for be too slow turning on the ball, but he has improved his game massively since then. We owe Ireland one , theyre a tough team but after that performance this team should be fearing no-one

Awesome use of the bum from McGinn! We looked quality, but we lack consistency. I expect a scrappy affair against ROI and we will somehow screw it up.
We absolutely bossed it all night long. We played some phenomenal football at times and played them off the park all night, but I think at time we were very guilty of overplaying. I also think that if we’d have been more clinical then we could’ve been going into ht 3-0 up, at the very least 2-0. Ukraine are no slouches either they’re a decent team who can play good football and we made the look bang average. We didn’t give them anything to feed off and kept their danger men in check. They should’ve definitely been down to 10 men though, that tackle by the no.2 was more of a rugby tackle than a football one. Rumours going about that Messi has got posters of Dykes on his bedroom wall.

This game shows we need to bin off 5 at the back dinosaur tactics, and actually start putting teams on the back foot, hopefully Clarke’s woken up now. Also with players out injured it’s time to call Elliot Anderson up to the first team, need to get him capped before the FA start sniffing about, looks like a real player
Scotland played some great football, the sort of tenacity and tempo they usually reserve for games against England! Hopefully they can go on a run now and keep it up. Aaron Hickey is a beast!

A 3-0 win is always welcome, but it should have been five or six. For me Ché Adams works so hard for the team, but he really doesn't score enough goals; he really could/should have scored a brace last night. His compatriot at Southampton needs to work on his composure on the ball; he also missed a few very presentable opportunities, especially when put through by McTominay's backheel and should have at least worked the keeper instead of skying the ball over the bar. I thought McTominay had a mighty game playing in his best sitting midfield role. He allowed McGregor and McGinn to push higher up the park and as a result, our defence had an easy night. I can't recall our keeper having to make a save of any note. With Kieran Tierney at left back, we didn't miss Robbo, who I think has been showing signs of burn-out when playing for Liverpool this season. The enforced rest should do him good. McGinn reminded me so much of King Kenny in the way he used his backside to turn the defender for his goal. It was great to see big Lyndon back in the goals again. His value to Scotland is as a target man with his power in the air and he showed it to great effect last night when he came on. He may not be the most technically gifted centre forward Scotland have ever had, but his goals record for Scotland is good. We need to back up this team performance now with the same against Republic of Ireland though.

Credit to Alex McLeish for talking McTominay into committing to Scotland all those years back, we have a cracking midfield now with high quality subs.
Unfortunately we lost in the game that really mattered. Its nice to see the team win but it's hard to get excited when we failed so miserably in the euros and the wc play off.
