I'm glad Carl's mother and stepfather gave him advice. The advice came at the right time, just in time. Lindsay is such a manipulator! I hate to see how she manipulates each of her subsequent boyfriend so that he does everything the way it suits her. It gets to the point where all her boyfriends start to be afraid of her. They are afraid to say an extra word to her, so that she will not be offended. She loves to make herself look like a victim and constantly find fault with her boyfriends. Lindsay perceives and treats her boyfriends, in this case, the fiance, not as the most wonderful person in the world, whom she wants to put on a pedestal, but as a thing that she bought and this thing should work 100% for her. Lindsay squeezes all the juices out of her boyfriends until they start running away from her. This is not love. Love is when you love your fiance the way he is, and you don't constantly try to find fault with him. Apparently Lindsay won't understand this.
Let me tell you something, its scary as hell having kids but is less scary when its the right woman and that crazy lindsay its not the right girl shes very abusive

His mother's husband is absolutely right, but neither of them were ready for marriage. If she really did just spring the "stay-at-home mom" news on him out of the blue, that says a lot about their lack of communication. Also, I'd had no idea that he's 38 years old. By the time I was 38, I'd already given birth to three kids and was much more mature than these two are. (I do know that everyone matures at their own pace.) Yes, that would've been a huge mistake. Thank heavens for the wise counsel he received - and I never could stand Lindsay anyway. 😂

carl almost fooled me...they are both quite complicated people and should be single, he is lazy and was using lindsay because of her money and uses sobriety as a alibi, he also is manipulative. lindsay is aggressive and also tired of her life and a sober person and a drunken person should not be together...she is treating him bad and on the other way she has every right to expect Carl that he will at least have a job if he wants to marry her
No sorry this guy is a jerk. This is typical manipulative behaviour his looking for an out but first needs to look like a victim and make her out to be a monster. His an adult man! he can sit her down and lay out his boundaries, his not a little child that needs saving.
