    • I remember being a child and teenager watching him. I had the biggest crush on him. He, Redd, and Lawanda Page are still my favorites. I'm still watching Sanford and Son now( in my 50's). Mr. Wilson is just as handsome now as he was back then. Redd was very seasoned. He and LaWanda were standup comedians before the show was even started. People don't want to hear it but he's right. It's like taking care of a family member who has messed up their money. Why in the world would you want to give them some of yours to mess it up too. They aren't able to help you. They'll move on to the next fool that will give them some. It doesn't make sense. It's unfortunate but true. Valdosta, don't live too far from there. He's true about that too. My dad died at home, just seen him an hour before. He wasn't being cruel it's going to happen no matter where you are. You just have sympathy and empathy. I'm a nurse. It happens on the toilet. I'm sure people didn't want it to happen that way but it does. This interviewer was Not Ready 😮😢. Didn't mean to write a book but you are so right. He still mean a lot to us.😘. A part of Americana. Not just Blacks but All!. We all at some time had these family situations. No matter who you are.

  • I bet this young man will step up his game for the next iconic interview. This is a great example of his generation thinking they know everything and know nothing at all. The internet & technology have y'all fooled. Some things Google can't help you with. Demond is a class act. He schooled him just enough to motivate him to level up. The parting question and answer put a nice bow on the interview. Provocative and entertaining.

Please just let the man talk and you know let him say what feels because he wasn't well received after returning from fighting for his country and I as a person who may not have been around then would like to thank him for his service and let him talk. He's the only reason I watch halfway so and trust me it will excruciating to get through sometime because they were always not getting along that had to be hard for him to do that. Norman Lear and others made sure that they perpetuated the patriarchal destruction of the family structure with every show they created. Desmond Wilson saw it and avoided the land mines. Excellent interview. If they do their homework, they may be able to get another interview from him. He has so much to say and this was just a drop in the bucket. I really would love to see and hear more about him and his life experiences.

I made friends with one as we signed up for the same jobs 🤭. I had seen most of his movies when I was a child and he was very similar to his characters, as a child "star" still fiesty, tell it like it is and all that. Many of the ones I met, Are just like their character or something you'd heard about them... I'm not going to name any names... . Just goes to shows that they are people just like we are.

    • The things he spoke on made me wonder about many things going on during this time for example, when he spoke about being drafted to go fight in the war and the whole purpose behind it with government trying to kill certain people off thus overpopulation, also that someone runs and controls the president and presidents are appointed by the powers that be not votes/ voters, which I always felt anyway but with that conformation I wondered who orchestrated this Migrant Invasion? And what is the true reason for it?, dumping them mainly in black communities, Is it a elaborate deliberate plan to secure a larger new voter base to altogether replace the black vote, Or to war with black people by foreigners being at odds with the residents and clash in a power conflict/ struggle, Or kill and victimize in a show of survival as well as a attempt to force black people out of those communities, to anialate and decress the black population overall, Or to bring into play the Cloward-Piven Strategy and destroy the economy for a complete take over leading up to the new world order doing away with a two party system for a one government rule, Or could it be a combination of all the above which is all possible but time will tell but as for now the fact that they opened that border and allowed all types of undocumented people from everywhere into the US and dumped them in those communities and continue with each and every passing day and offering no explanation and ignoring the concerns of the residents with no regard or concerns for their safety or otherwise speaks volume and says there is foul play in the mix. People just don't know what it is yet but this much we do know, considering how it has been all played out we can assume the ending won't be that much better, I also wonder since it's a power that be ran government could this whole fiasco be a well orchestrated scheme between the democrats and Republicans where as the democrats does something that makes no logical sense or explanation that causes its constituents to turn on them and by doing so allowing the Republicans to win who then will dominate and control and put in to play the new world order, it may sound impossible but it's possible because I don't believe the powers that be are democrats but rather Republicans and lastly again, that whole border situation is a big question mark and at this point mystery because it makes absolutely no logical sense and no explanation is given or any action taken to correct it, regardless of what anyone says joe Biden isn't that old or crazy or any of the other democrats in that party certainly not to the degree to do something like that knowing the backlash it would cause with their constituents and offer no explanation, something is going on here behind the scenes and some people have a definite agenda behind all this and people will have to really think about this and decide what to do while they're waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Mr. Wilson is so right about the feminist movement! Never was one, never wanted to be one. The movement is evil. It took away women’s femininity, not gave them rights. Took away men’s dignity, emasculated men. Still does. I appreciate a strong masculine man. I respect men. I let my husband be a man. He respects me as a woman. Feminism Broke up the family home. • @@MissAsiaMediaand you would watch the very show you are trying to build, be gone due to your sensitivity. Show business is exactly that and if you can't deal with actors egos cause yours is to fragile then set up an only fans page

    • I unfortunately missed a chance to meet Demond a few years back. I'm from southwestern PA but at the time was living in northeastern Ohio not far from Cleveland, one day while surfing around on KZhead I found out that the pickup truck from the show is at a place not far from where I was living, a car dealership that deals in high end muscle cars like you see for sale on Barrett-Jackson bought it and has it on display on their showroom floor, I was only weeks from moving back to PA after having lived up there for 11 years and definitely wanted to go see the truck while I was still in the area, so I got a hold of a friend of mine that like me was born in the 60's and grew up in the 70's who I knew would wanna go see it with me and we made plans to go see it a week later. On the morning we were going to go I was getting ready to leave my place and go pick him up and what did I see on my news feed? Nathaniel Taylor, the actor who played Lamont's shifty buddy Rollo had passed away the night before, I couldn't believe it, so when I picked my buddy up I told him about that and of course he had the same reaction I did, you know, what a bummer, anyways we head to the place and the two guy's who owned it were nice as could be, they let us both sit in it and took our pictures with our phones and I noticed when I was in it that the dash and visors were signed by surviving cast members including Nathaniel Taylor and Demond Wilson, when I ask the one owner about that he told me that they have cast reunions there, he also mentioned what we knew about Nathaniel Taylor passing away the night before and mentioned that they had another cast reunion coming up in just two weeks that every surviving cast member was scheduled to come to and that in light of what happened the night before he'd already talked with all the other cast members and it was decided that they were going to dedicate that reunion to him and do something to raise money in his name for his favorite cause, the guy invited me to come to it and told me I'd get back stage pass kind of treatment and that he'd introduce me to everyone including Demond but unfortunately that was the weekend I was already scheduled to move and couldn't change anything about it. But hey, I got to get my picture taken sitting in the actual Sanford and Son pickup truck and let me tell you that was the thrill of my life, I show that picture off to people all the time, if anyone's interested it's at a place called Blueline Classics in North Royalton OH, and believe it or not it's in the exact condition it was in when the show was filmed, and they even sell cool t-shirts that have the logo from the driver's door of the truck on from of them, you can check it out on their website at Bluelineclassics.com. I sure would have liked to have met Demond, aside from being someone so iconic in my life he's also an Army veteran as I am, oh well, maybe next time around in life I'll get to meet him.
