  • To be honest, as a Mac user, I've tried so hard to find a mechanical keyboard that truly has a Mac layout, where the CMD key is just below the X key. None has done that, including Nuphy, logitech, keychron, and else. They all claim to be "Mac keyboard" but the location of the CMD/Alt key is just outrageous for a mac user. Whenever I type CMD+C/V on these keyboard I feel my fingers are tortured. Please enlighten me where to find a real Mac mechanical keyboard.

  • It's great right, can vouch for it - lovely feel, strong, quality build - the V2 also is lower than a typical mecahnical compact but didn't take much time to get used to it.Very satisfying. Appreciate the video

  • Great review! Thanks so much for the review and explanation. I typically use a standard Apple Magic Keyboard but I have been thinking about upgrading to a mechanical keyboard recently. I definitely like being able to have multiple Bluetooth connections so I can use it with the various Apple products in my house (I have an old Logitech that used to do that). These are great options that I'm gonna look into more.

  • So glad to see your review. I really hoped you would give this keyboard a try. Not bad, right? It's even better that you got to try V1 and V2. Love it that Nuphy reached out. I prefer the Nuphy over the Keychron. I still need to try the MX keys.

  • Air 75v2 is great mechanical keyboard with great polling rate, dedicated keyboard stand to elevate your typing experience, and the slick black color, it’s my favourite keyboard. I got it during their launch period and good price. Air 75v2 good for my home use while I use Nuphy Halo 75 for office use. Yes, I purposely use Halo 75 for office use to make as much noise AF to annoy colleagues and the only one with sexay, dope keyboard 😂

  • I just got one. The 2.4ghz and the hot swap was the selling point. At this price point i dont want to cripple my experiance for gaming with low polling. And plus i would like to experiment with other switches....i grabbed aloes and a side of brown. The extras to try is a nice touch too

    @justinseans@justinseans4 ай бұрын
  • The 2.4 GHz connectivity is important not just for gaming, as this allows for wireless connectivity when using UEFI firmware settings or OS usage before Bluetooth drivers are loaded. This is only partly applicable to a Mac, but I mostly work with custom-built machines and servers, so this is a big deal for me.

So instead I'm using the cable from my V1. I thought that was a straight up miss from Nuphy but it's clear that when the product is going out for review, they give a $h173. Do better Nuphy, do better. Not really happy with you guys right now. Keyboard is great but the differences in quality control leave me unimpressed.

  • so... what makes this a "mac keyboard"?

    @VictorMartins239@VictorMartins2396 ай бұрын
    • It's specifically designed for macOS. Comes with macOS specific key caps attached out of the box and has a macOS key layout selector on the back. Also battery levels show up in macOS where many other keyboards don't. A side benefit is that it's also obviously 100% compatible with Windows.

      @CreatedTech@CreatedTech6 ай бұрын
    • @@CreatedTechshowing the battery life in the OS is not a macOS feature, it's an universal bluetooth feature. All modern OSs support it, windows, mac, linux, Android, etc. And basically all modern bluetooth devices report their battery life to the device they are connected to. For the price of this keyboard I honestly would be really mad if they didn't support this now basic bluetooth feature. Also it comes with keycaps to swap it to a windows/linux layout so this keyboard can work perfecty on any OS. I use it on a Windows+Linux desktop and it works wonders. On linux it shines because you can really configure absolutely anything you want to do on the OS to those F5-F6 etc keys that on Windows don't really do anything. I'm just surprised yours came with a braided cable, it seems that most people here in the comments, like me, get a generic white non-braided basic cable with the keyboard which is really a disappointing touch for this price

      @azenyr@azenyr5 ай бұрын
    • @@azenyr I never said the bluetooth battery was a "macOS feature". I simply said it works where a lot of other keyboards do not. Regarding the braided cable, I'm not sure what's going on there. Possibly supply issues but for the price it should be included in every box.

  • Why does nobody notice that the lower left keys are different on Mac keyboards? Due to the addition of the fn key, the control, alt and cmd keys scoot in a bit. You can tell by the way the right edge of the command key is thus flush with the x key. Barely any “for mac” offerings ever get this right and it messes with all the most common shortcuts and makes switching between the external keyboard and MacBook keyboards a giant pain.
