The sad thing is, this mission takes place on November 10, 1963. JFK was killed on November 22, 1963. It was implied in the story that Mason killed JFK in Dallas but this was never confirmed.

3:07 the secretary that flirts with Alex Mason is a GRU operative (CIA double agent) Kristina Raskova. She was sent to America and to join the CIA to give information to the Soviets and to locate, seduce, and kill Alex Mason as his role in the broadcasting would be useless after he killed Kennedy. Her mission did not carry out as she had been either discovered or failed her assassination. But this was originally going to play a major role in the game as she has concept art (according to the cod wiki) and this scene here

The Blonde woman with the cigarette is name Sarah. Players who unlocked the CIA emails Easter egg will learn that Weaver tried to thank Mason for saving his life at Baikonur by setting him up on a date with Sarah. It didn’t work out because Mason wouldn’t stop talking about Dragovitch and Reznov during the date, and would mumble Reznov’s “Steps” from the Vorkuta breakout.

Someone mentioned that this Sarah character was a double agent meant to assassinate Mason. I don't think weaver set him with a date, that's not the story here

Same. The numbers actually translate to describing the date and location of JFK's assassination. The game's director said by his own opinion thay Mason was trying to prevent the assassination after Hudson broke his programming, but they still left it open ended ingame for players to decide.
And that's why Black Ops 1 had one of the best campaign in shooter history.

I think at that point it was obvious to him the interrogators were from the CIA. They knew way too much about him to be Soviets or anything.

Black Ops 1 had my favorite Zombie mode out of all games. WaW had clunky movement and a suicidal, inaccurate knife lunge. BO2 brought back WaW's wonky knifing system that lunges you forward and gets you double swiped. Everything else added excess with bubble gum, goofy abilities, weird ass futuristic weapons, 4 player required easter eggs, and maps you can't even zombie surf/train on.
I swear, that's got to be Robert Picardo playing McNamara, it's who it's sounds like.

You can ACTUALLY lose this mission if you melee at the scene with the people entered the building at the entrance because it counts as if you killed them

Im gonna admit, compared to other walkthroughs, this is a really good campaign walkthrough, i wish that the black ops games werent so fucking expensive on steam, otherwise i would play them myself, but this really captures the experience of the campaign, thank you for this.

2:18 I actually like how Hudson looks at Mason (or maybe the file?), as if a little surprised by what he said. But relaxes a little when the others aren’t perturbed by his comment. After all, Hudson was Mason’s handler, and didn’t know why they wanted him, so hearing a statement like that could’ve made the others uneasy.
The JFK cameo is great, but the fact that they put Secretary McNamara in there really shows that the devs did their homework. This Social Studies Education major approves. 😁
Good point, but remember, McNamara was the whole reason for the high casualty rate and atrocities commited unto Vietnemese civilians. Since he nullified the IQ minimum for US Soldiers, and so you got what was called during the Cold War, 'McNamara's Morons,' because the soldiers were a greater danger to their fellow kin than to the enemy. Often shooting off arms by accident and whatnot.

Always loved the fact that when JFK walks in slow-mo the TVs behind him show true television broadcast news about his future assassination (which takes place 12 days later), shown in real time in contrast to the slow-mo walking of Kennedy, with mugshots of Lee Harvey Oswald among them. Mason was suspected to be part of the assassination.
