  • To this day, my favorite card trick is a math trick my uncle showed me. It involves dividing the deck in half, memorizing the 18th card in one half and then adding the value of cards (1-10) from the other deck to determine how many cards you deal off the top of a combined deck to get to the 18th card. It was wild to perform as an 8 year old when I couldn't understand the math behind it.

    • @@mrtoasteer3561 heres the story Its was normal say in Minnesota, it was cold. You couldent go outside without a jacket. I was sitting in my room in the bacement playing fetch with winter(cats name) while watching so Vsause. I get a snapchat call from my mom , I answer it (note that I had the blue bird as my profile picture and background for everything I even have a sticker on my ps4) my mom is looking a little sick. She says she went to the docter because she had the itchy bumps on her body, she also said I was because of winter. I was shocked knowing what was going to happen I started to cry. I said please isn't there a way you can treat it(I didnt know there actually was a way to treat it)she said no. I was devastated. She walked into my room fully dressed and said get winter into the car, with this saddens look on my face I obliged. I got dressed picked winter up and took her outside. The only other time she had ever been outside was when we adopted her and was takeing he inside. She tried to escape my arms and she did, she ran to the backyard and hid under the porch sitting in a window frame. I couldent fit down there so sadly to only way to get her out was to get a lazer pointer. This was extremely sad for me because she got really excited when I got it out and started running towards it I quickly picked her up and got her in the car still crying my mom and I drove the the nearest humane society we hot her out the car, this time my mom was carrying her. She stood at the door waiting for someone to open it. She was clearly struggling to hold her winter excape agin and ran across the street and hid in a Bush. We didnt know where she was until we saw some guy with his camera out looking in the bushes I saw her in the corner crying so was I. I walked over still crying saying nothing i picked winter up agin an employee was outside with a cage open for me to put her in. So that's what happend that day. When we got her she was very scared of humans she hid from ours for months we knew where she was but we couldent fit where she was so I sat in front with snacks to give her if she ever came out I was the only one who did it so when she did come out , if I wasn't there she would go back in until she herd my voice. I knew if she got adopted the same would happen. A week ago my mom got sad news for the humane society my mom came to my room and told me everyone who adopted her took her back because she would hide away from everyone, i guessed they didnt have the patience I had so she would allwase be back in a week or so. Soon nowone wanted her so she was euthanized

Because this blessing that I was given by being alive at all is the greatest thing that could happen to anyone. To even have the chance to live in the first place. I will find myself and I will make a difference because you know what? I was given the opportunity. An opportunity that is so, incredibly rare and if I don't take it, I'll be letting whoever could've been me down. So damnit, thank you Michael.

  • Another nice magic trick you can do with tis at 8:14 is: Pick all 4 aces, 4 queens, 4 kings, 4 jacks Place themm all together (HA,HK,HQ,HJ, etc) so they're all with their own symbols and in order (ace, king queen jack) Place the 4 packs on top of each other so it makes 1 pile of 16 Cut them by taking any amount of the top and put it under the pack (you can repeat infinitely) Place the cards 1 by 1, face up, on the table while doing a 4x4 square Every queens will make a row, kings too, jacks too, aces too.

    • Fail 9999 1.84467 x 10^19 according to my calculations. 1 grain of long rice weights 1/64 gram. So the total weight would be 2.8823 x 10^11 metric tons. In the last square there would be 9.22337 x 10^18 grains of rice and it would weight 144.115 x 10^9 metric tons. Now assuming the squares are equal in size, it means the chess board is going to be HUUUUUUGE. From engineering point of view, if I knew the weight of the normal _rook_ (that's what's in the last square normally), I could say how high the rook of this giant chess board would be. And from that I could scale up the chess board. Assuming we keep the mass _divided by surface area_ a constant. More precise way might be to calculate from the material strength. How big surface area do we need, to hold 144 billion metric tons of load. You do the rest of the calculation :D

But the number of possible _people_ is even _bigger_. So big that most possible people (like the smartest, or funniest, or most annoying) will never be born. "So I'm glad _you_ were."
