Why Iron Man Didn’t Fight Thanos With EDITH In Avengers: Endgame

As multiple versions of Uncle Ben have said “with great power comes great responsibility.” Apparently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Peter Parker didn’t get that memo because he started causing disasters as soon as he got his hands on the EDITH glasses. These were supposed to be a gift from his mentor/father figure Tony Stark, and ended up causing just a little bit of a scuffle with Quentin Beck. While they made things more difficult in “Far From Home,” some fans can’t help but think they would have come in handy during “Avengers: Endgame,” especially when our heroes were fighting to bring down the Mad Titan Thanos. But before we start assigning blame, there may have been some really good reasons Iron Man decided to keep these specs a secret. Being able to summon drones seems like it could be a game-changer, but if it was such a good idea you would think that Doctor Strange would have seen it play out during “Infinity War.” Could this technology have made a difference or would it have just ended up causing more problems?

i think friday was still putting the finishing touches on edith and the same equipment that created peter's new spidie suit also created edith's glass physical extension after tony died. then happy was told to give them to fury to give to peter.

There is a possibility in which Tony Stark may presumably left EDITH for Peter when he prepared his farewell video message. This would have happened before they went back in time to retrieve the Infinity Stones And after they returned, they were immediately followed by Thanos and his army, which means that Tony Stark may had no chance to go back for the glasses.

Fury has E.D.I.T.H. after snap also Tony didn't meet Fury after the snap maybe he handed his possession to Fury way before the snap but due to Fury turning to dust E.D.I.T.H. Was somewhere only Fury knew. Implies Tony didn't have his tech in the period of endgame . So after knowing the new danger of elementals Fury had to handover the E.D.I.T.H. to Peter earlier than the time said by Tony . please pin my comment if you agree

personally I doubt the glasses would've been the only way to access the drones. EDITH might've been peter's way to access the drone network given to him by tony but I'd think tony would've had access regardless of the glasses.

When Tony died the construction of the Drones began they were his replacement. Everything was in place to build them but there was nothing there yet. I imagine they're built in the satellite using the same nano tech as the ironman suit meaning there's a near endless supply.
He wanted Edith to be Peter Parker's AI. He knows that AI has to learn from its master and he didn't want it learning from him. Remember JARVIS, AKA Vision, was once Tony Stark's AI.

The drones were used by Mysterio before Peter gave him the Edith glasses. So, that means there was way more to Edith’s capabilities than just the drones...

The acronym says it all. I think it's an automatic AI that only activates when Tony died. For its new owner tho, I think it's originally for either Pepper or Morgan. But the moment he saw Peter, he changed the ownership and left another voice message for Happy to give it to Peter after everything.

He still had some skrull agents on earth and likely not all of them where snapped.

EDITH is most effective when used by one person fighting alone as evidenced by how effectively Mysterio was able to use it. Spider-Man’s super spacial awareness should also be critical in effectively using it also as evidenced by Mysterio when he lost track of the drones and shot himself. Tony already had an army of the most powerful superheroes in the galaxy. The drones would’ve just been in the way at best and dangerous to his teammates at worst. Not to mention he would’ve not only had to be able to keep track of the thousand or so drones over an enourmous battlefield but all of his ally army and Thanos’s forces. Even for a super genius that seems overwhelming.

It would have been very useful to have the drones thin down Thano's army, but many drones could have been damaged that way, and if he wanted to leave them for Peter, then he chose to leave them out of the fight.

He didn't. Look at the acronym, Even Dead I'm The Hero, he made them in case of his death in the final battle. He made them when he realized he was heading into the final battle and could die and made some back-up for Spidey.
Stark's mind is more powerful than his body. I think he would have been more formidable operating several IM suits remotely than being there in person. What does his body actually being in one of them actually add? Obviously this doesn't work so well for a movie b/c it lowers the stakes, but there you go.
EDITH is an AI just like FRIDAY and JARVIS. It was used in Infinity War, and I think Civil War. It was explained in Spider Man Homecoming EDITH had all the information of the top severity protocols of STARK industries. Iron Man didn't have EDITH on him, in the finale battle because at that point he had already made arangments for Peter to get it if something happened to him.

When it was just Thanos maybe EDITH would've helped maybe not, but even a system as intelligent as EDITH wouldn't have been able to separate friend from foe once that battle got started.
Also Edith's drones could have been used against the good guys if Thanos used the reality stone to make it look like the good guys had overwhelming numbers on him, but in reality, no drones were left. Or anything like that.
