This division is really heating up. Strawweight has been my favorite women's weight class for years, but I can genuinely say that I'm looking forward to five -- *_five_* -- upcoming women's flyweight bouts: • Erin Blanchfield vs. Taila Santos • Natalia Silva vs. Andrea Lee • Karine Silva vs. Maryna Moroz • Rose Namajunas vs. Manon Fiorot • Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2 The first three are showcase bouts for me, where I expect Erin, Natalia and Karine to show out and prove their superiority. With Rose vs. Manon, I wanna see if Rose can adjust to the ten extra pounds. And with Alexa vs. Valentina, I wanna see if Alexa can maintain the belt. Plus, if Maycee's last fight is any indication to go by, then she's gone back to being the aggressive finisher she was in her LFA/early UFC fights.

Valentina did not make a mistake with that kick, why do people keep saying that? Valentina uses that kick on all her fights. No one couldn’t capitalize on that kick except Alexa Grasso.

@@Wickedgu3st It’s not a Mistake. The spinning kick is one of Valentina best weapons. Valentina succeeded with that kick on Holly Holm, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Lauren Murphy, most of her opponents. She couldn’t do it with Alexa Grasso. I think on the rematch, Valentina will be thinking twice about doing that spinning kick.

but joanna isent a physical fighter we seen that when she fought val. and there are more physical fighters at 125 than val. personally I think val would ragdoll rose. But, she could suprise me, as of yet though, rose hasent shown to be a physically strong fighter

i get what she's saying about valentina not being rousey but...valentina already matched rousey in terms of title defenses (yes i'm including the strikeforce defense), so her losing is right in line with what happened to rousey tbh. wanted to argue about 115 being more stacked than 125, completely forgot about santos and her visa issues, maycee's right, 125 is the division. hopefully rose can match up physically with the 125ers, bc in terms of skill, she's superior to most of them imo. joanna was in a similar boat but she's not as good as rose

Barber disrespecting Blanchfield, Blanchfield is taking the hardest of fights. So too is O'Neill, yet Barber calls out Murphy and Andrade, of which Andrade has gone back to strawweight. Barber in this interview names all the best and most dangerous fighters, but is Barber calling them out?

I think if she puts in the work and is motivated to be champ, Rose could be champ at 125. It’s all about her mindset, the mental game is her biggest battle. I don’t think Pat helps her with that.
I think it’s just her mental makeup. Rose loves to be the underdog with much at stake. I think she just flatlines when there is not much on the line. Pat Barry...you shouldn’t be coached by your spouse imo

Valentina kicks her head right off her shoulders, inti, hopefully a packed stadium. Apex WON'T do it! Imagine resale value on ebay. Jessica Eye was only light sparring, point scoring type kick! 😂. 125 is not the division to get a belt. 115 is less stacked than 125 currently. Val is a bad match up for rose, Erin and talia. If rose went back 10 115 the only person I think who gives rose problems is zhang
@@ryan010ableand rose beat zhang twice. I love rose but the only thing that beats her is her mind. I think if she hadn’t lost to Carla previously and she was just any other opponent, she would’ve just mopped the floor with her but she can’t get out of her own way.
My assumption is Rose is just doing 125lbs because it's her first fight back and she doesnt want to cut down to 115. Id assume she will be back at 115 after this fight. Especially if Valentina wins her belt back as they are friends. Maybe if Valentina loses and Rose wins, they give Rose a title shot right away but cant imagine she stays at 125.

There’s just something about her.. Not the biggest fan of the women’s division with those punches u would throw in ur dreams.. I DO however tune in when she is fighting.. something about her and her fights that’s just more watchable than the others I guess
