Another explanation of the range game here, and you can see how much better I’m getting 😁 m.kzhead.info/sun/ZaawqN5vp4Sad6M/bejne.html
Nice tip for improving aiming target and accuracy👌
Immediately, upon you entering the frame, because of your hair sticking out of the back of your cap, you reminded me of a Great Blue Heron. One of my favorite birds.
😂 that’s a new one
Raising and lowering the anchor point helps with vertical accuracy. Lowering the anchor point as the target gets further away. The part I was struggling with was horizontal shooting, which this video solved. Using the same spot on the forks for aiming: -Raise the anchor point to shoot lower. -Lower the anchor point to shoot higher. -Rotate the forks clockwise to shoot to the left. -Rotate the forks counterclockwise to shoot to the right.
This is exactly how I shoot back of my shoulder to the target . The only think you can really tech is practice practice practice the more you shoot the better you will get
Wow learnt heaps from this video . Have made the slingshot, now this is what I needed . Looking forward to seeing the rabbit real soon
Thanks mate. I had another go this evening and feel like I did much better. Still no rabbit though…
Well that didnt take long mate. Well done
The stance you showed in this video helped me a lot Thanks bro
07:02 that shot altered weather conditions, massive! Nice vid lad
great content, big help for beginners. CHeers new sub!
Good post, I like your idea on taking steps forward and backward based on your shooting ,, makes sense for hunting cause you'll always be shooting at different distances .......
Exactly, and i'm terrible at estimating those distances apparently...
brilliant info bro just learning the slingshot bro
Dominate eye determines which hand you draw with.
Pretty informative. Good video!
Thank you! 😁
Great vid.
Nice work.
By far the best accuracy tips video on youtube, and a great training exercise. Step away with every hit, fantastic🫡👍🏼
Great idea of moving around after targets are hit
Thanks for the video, I just started and have issues with hitting the top fork in my slingshot sometimes
Welcome to the sport :) This problem is generally because you are not holding/releasing the pouch properly. If there is a 'tweak' or a 'speed bump' then the shot goes awry. Pinch between your fingertips and keep your elbow level or just above :)
@@theferalphilosopher-huntin1372 Thank you, I focused a lot more on release and it improved a lot. Also filmed myself in slow motion and realized I drop my elbow when I shoot sometimes
Mate I'm cross dominant which means for all purposes I'm a righty. But when it comes to target sports I'm left eye dominant which means I'm a lefty. There are excellent videos on KZhead to find your dominant eye which is gr8 to know once you are starting out.
I'm also cross dominant. I think it is because I am a natural south paw, but was forced to learn everything right handed in school. Strange way to be, eh?
Well so am I
Great video!! Can you please tell me if you made your target and if so can you describe how? Otherwise if purchased, where from?
Very helpful thank u
Nice tutorial bro.. watching from Philippines bro..new friend bro
Nice vid. Nice practice method. Beautiful country side.
Thanks bud :D I got your order. It’s already made up so I’ll just tie the bands up and ship it asap
@@theferalphilosopher-huntin1372 thank you.
Very nice video, excellent tips. New subscriber 👊🙂
Thanks man 🤘🏼
Top vid 🇬🇧🇬🇧💥
Good video lesson here 👍 Great shooting, especially when you start distancing yourself away from the target. Nice fork.... what model is that?
Thanks man! I appreciate it. I really find the ranging difficult so need extra practise at it. The fork is my own design, the FERAL Demon, that will be available by the end of July on my etsy shop that you can find in the description if you are interested.
That's a nice looking catch box
It is collapsible so I can leave it in my car and shoot wherever and whenever I like. I will make a video showing how it works soon
Good game mate, will give that a go for sure- kind of overly dialed in on my 10m...
I found that before as well. I used to only practise at 10 and 20m. Couldn’t hit anything that I didn’t know the exact distance of…
Was a great vid indeed. I’m new to this sport and amazed on the accuracy that can be achieved. Tomorrow evening I’m going to apply the points you’ve made. One ? Though At 10 meters would the clay balls, 3/8” or 9mm, bought on Amazon, would these achieve the accuracy to hone my skill, or should I just go directly the steel bearings?
I have never shot clay balls because I heard that they are incredibly inaccurate. Something to do with being lightweight and not perfectly spherical. My suggestion for you is to get a bulk lot of 6mm ball bearings and some really light bands (like 0.45mm cut 20/12) and use them until you get pretty accurate. Small BBs and light bands are cheap and easy to shoot (less tiring on the fingers)
Best way to do it is I think buy the size of BB Ur guna shoot mostly with to hunt and stuff that way you won't need to adjust from smaller weight to larger weight, make a target box like in vid and reuse the bbs.
Did you have a video clip for 45° tecnique...?

Hello friend love slingshot ❤❤❤
Enjoyed your video, are you based in NZ? Is there a regular meeting place, a group wanting to improve their aim in the Waikato? Tony
We are all a bit spread out I think. But we have a FB group, Everything Slingshot Aotearoa 😊
nice
Hallo bro. Im from Indonesia Thanks
Hey bro. Iv'e seen some good shooters from Indonesia :D Slingshot must be popular over there?
yes bro, in Indonesia there are a lot of great people playing Slingshot because the population here is large and the slingshot is one of the traditional weapons here
Practice makes nearly perfect. I like to use the corner of my frame as a reference point. Without a good ref point, you'll find you rely on instinct rather than a measurable metric. Once you're found your reference point, you then need to practice, practice, practice, and then practice some more. I would strongly recommend getting some targets, like spinners or chalkys to hone your accuracy. If you practice on rabbits, you'll probably got one (maybe through plain luck) and you'll just injure it, and you'll feel rotten about it - believe me. You need to have obtained a high ratio of consistent accurate hits _before_ you hunt live prey. The key for me was doing _exactly_ the same thing for each and every shot. Consistency is the key. The following is offered in a constructive, respectful way: You've made a decent video, with some basic 'best practice' , but if your serious about shooting a catapult, it's best to learn _first_ before trying to teach others.
Thanks for the suggestion :) My channel is intended to be a work in progress, but also I'm hoping to raise the profile of slingshot here in NZ. Judging from the comments I have been getting people are happy to see the misses and mistakes I make. I know from experience that watching extremely good shooters all day can be frustrating because it makes it seem super easy, and we all know that it is not. I'm sorry that there was nothing useful for you in this video but hopefully if you come back in a year or two my shooting might be up to scratch by then :)
good....
Ora kena....kawusss
Where should I buy ammo for slingshot (which kind of store)
In NZ we have hunting and fishing, or Trademe. Search for slingshot ammo.
The only thing you missed was eye dominance. I'm left handed and right eye dominant which makes aiming a bit more difficult.
True that. Do you aim under your dominant eye?
Beastmaster-when are you going to do a sit down intro of the Demon?
I just clipped on some long draw 0.95 gold 30/20 to my Demon and thought "I should do an intro video" :D So yeah, soon. I have a hunting video to post in a few days, so after that.
@@theferalphilosopher-huntin1372 I’m looking forward. Thanks.
Como vc faz sua visada no alvo vc faz no centro do alvo
Isso depende da distância. Mais longe, mire mais alto.
@@theferalphilosopher-huntin1372 mais então de dez a quinze metros vc mira no centro do alvo
remember you get more accurate by training

Good luck with hunting rabbits, they taste good because it's hard to catch them, that's why things have value, and i once bought a slingshot that can change where the top and the thing you put on your arm are and it was pretty accurate until the band started to slowly break,it was always ripping and i was fixing it now the band is so small, thankfully i bought a better looking slingshot that doesn't have many attachments to it and is easier to shoot and aim,i think that you need skill with a normal slingshot before using a slingshot that has more upgrades to it
I got my first squirrel on 5th day
Nice one! :) Did you have it for dinner?
@@theferalphilosopher-huntin1372 We don’t eat Squirrel. Squirrel spoiling some of our fruits like Mango, Guavas etc. That's why I killed it
hello sir, nice to meet you, I'm also a beginner slinghoot KZheadr. I hope we will be as successful sucg as you.ameen
You are totally INCORRECT by NOT having the rear arm at the same level as the front arm. They should be level, as if you are holding a long stick/rod between them. I suggest that folks watch the YT channel "SlingshotSniper TR" to properly learn how to shoot accurately - VERY accurately. Signed, (Former) Assistant Chief of the National Slingshot Association
Good advice. I’m just a random :)

Can you pls give me a slingshot like that plss
I aim like that and still can't hit anything
I found that accuracy is all in the consistency. Pick a routine to line up your shot and follow it exactly a hundred times, even if you miss. What you will see is that you should miss the exact same every time. Then change one small thing and try again, repeat until you dial in that consistency. If you keep missing randomly it means that you aren’t doing the exact same movements each time.
Nice work.
