  • The lambda probe in your case was installed upstream of the catalytic converter. Even though the catalytic converter was removed, there is no reason why the probe was chosen to be deactivated. A flange could have been welded onto the connecting pipes to keep the lambda probe active. It is a very important sensor that helps the ECU (Engine Control Unit) form the mixture in many situations, situations that would be difficult to predict or take into account by the engineers who create the injection maps with the lambda probe deactivated.

    • @@LambChopRides The valve is going to oscillate. You take one of the cables and hook it back up to the side that pins it open, loosen the bracket mounting bolt, coil the cable around the bolt once or twice, going over top of the bolt, and then tighten the nut down hard. Then clip off the extra. This prevents all oscillation. We have to do it on the hondas since the htev in full crossover is more complicated, is not spring loaded, and is much smoother flow than removing. On the 929 and 954s.

  • Hey chop, you need to know that you have placed the filter upside down, mate! Also, consider using a spanner to undue the sump rather than a ratchet. These sump are weak on the thread side and are known to strip due to the steel sump bolt. You also need to bleed the coolant system, too. Good luck, mate, Alex from Sydney Australia P.s. The Fuchs oil box has been designed to be used instead of removing the bladder, 😆 It's been designed to be used just like a cask of wine you buy from your local.

I bought a K7 cat which has the silencer attached but it doesn't fit the down pipes that are on my bike. I suspect the down pipes on my bike are K7 which have been fitted by a previous owner but when I offer up the K7 cat it simply will not fit. The underside of the bike is different and the brackets are in a different place. Only solution is a full K8 system. Hope that makes sense.

    • Yeah it now over reads slightly, might need a speedo healer to fix it..

    • I just purchased a mint condition 1000cc k-5 edition with 16300 miles. I'm not at all interested in top end speed but very interested in low-end and mid range torque. The dealer replaced the chain and rear sprocket. Can I accomplish more low and mid-torque by replacing the front sprocket?

  • Great video as usual Chops! I have a question... Do you recommend P3 tuning as reputable... My new bike is a 22' MV Agusta Brutale 800rr and as you know, aftermarket-anything is rare with those bikes and so is tuning. I'm in the US and never heard of the few tuners recommended for ecu flash tune. So P3 tuning is a good deal or nah?

    @KhrisRidez@KhrisRidez Жыл бұрын
    • Yes I would absolutely recommend them but sending an ECU from the US could be risky.. I have heard good things from Brent Tuning in the US, they do postal flashes?

      @LambChopRides@LambChopRides Жыл бұрын
    • @Lamb Chop Rides yea I've talked to them as well. They offered to do a baseline map. But I'm not sure if that involves me bringing the bike to them or if it's a mail-in service. It's all experimental with the mvs. I know they have started building tunes for the brutale 1000rr. Waiting to hear back from them on more info. Thanks chops for your input and keep the videos coming. 🤘🏾‼️

  • You probably should google the issue with K&N oil filters, they have been banned from many race tracks due to them leaking at the nut. I wouldn't use anything but an OEM oil filter and use the respective "cap" tool which allows you to use a socket to remove and torque them.

    @DL180sx@DL180sx Жыл бұрын
    • OK interesting 👍

      @LambChopRides@LambChopRides Жыл бұрын
    • I wonder if it's because people are overtighting the filter with the nut when fitting.. I only use the nut to remove it

      @LambChopRides@LambChopRides Жыл бұрын
    • Could well be. There was a period where they were using rivet style construction for adding the nut plate. I believe they swapped to welding the plate on. It may well be rectified now, but the issue is well documented and for the same money oem can not have this issue.

  • Planning on fitting some twin arrows to my K7 soon (waiting for them to be refinished). Got the link pipe already too and want to remove the cat, does the lambda sensor need bypassing? Just wondering what I need to do with that. Cheers

    @AlexClarkAJC@AlexClarkAJC Жыл бұрын
    • No the link pipe has a thread for it if you are not getting it flashed and using a power commander 👍

  • WATCH OUT CHOPSIE, Not sure but it seems you forgot to pin down the air filter with the screws and lock wire the exhaust valve because the exhaust gases could overpower the spring and start juttering

    @Kawasakirider46@Kawasakirider46 Жыл бұрын
    • At 16:36 in the vid you can see the screw hole in the air filter located in front and between the 2 throttlebody inlets.

      @Kawasakirider46@Kawasakirider46 Жыл бұрын
    • The filter is held down by the screw in the middle of the airbox lid 👍 lock wire on the exhaust flap is a good call though 👌
