I hate the fact that many people still just remember her crazy party phase and never even looked deeper to her. I have supported her since hannah montana season 1 and grew up with her and it just makes me upset hearing how so many ppl, many of my friends including have the wrong impression of her. She has so many opinions and important issues to talk about not to even mention her knowledge on music and every possible genre there is. Her loyalty and honesty are the reasons i’m still here because that’s also how i am. I have so much respect and love for her and i’ll be sure to listen to Midnight Sky a lot of times.
me too, followed her since i was 11 now 24, i adore her and all your points are so true! she's into freedom, she's into being unique, authentic. she's into following your own path and live fully as a woman especially and that's so precious!
i also grew up watching her. i don’t enjoy partying or drugs so when that IS what she was doing i respected it as her life and still stayed for the music and integrity. she’s only a few years older than me and i see so much of myself in her values. i completely agree with this comment. i am also loyal and honest to a FAULT, and it took me years after our breakup of still loving my ex just like she did. it’s nice to see people like me out there with a voice and platform

For all those folks who are absolutely crushed and ruined by fame, Miley has processed stressors and developed introspective wisdom. It's really beautiful to see.

Wow. Just like Ariana, I think she took the right amount of time off to evolve and figure herself and her mind/values out. This feels very authentic and mature. i’m so blessed to have watched miley grow up. i’ve followed her since she first got famous. she was my first “famous person i stanned” and i’ve just watched her evolve. and what’s so cool is she’s only 2 years older than me so me and her kinda went thru life at the same time in ways. idk there’s just something about her that makes me feel like we could srlsy stay up all damn night and pour our hearts out to each other while being super silly and goofy. i love her sm 🥺

I found myself here because I was reading pagesix.com.....have u guys heard about this.....she said she never really cared to get married and have kids...and maybe some buy into Jonas brothers and all that but she doesnt think many men feel pressured to get married....all of my Niley feelings from long ago came back when I read this....what is she saying....that Jonas brothers felt pressure to get married or that Jonas brothers are special, like the epitome of what women would want if they were to get married!? That's just so weird that she would bring them up in that context and I'm not quite sure I get it.

"Your words equal your character". Damn i didn't know how much i wanted to hear that it gave me goosebumps. She was right. If someone does not mean the thing that they said to you at the first place then how tf that thing could slip out off their mouth? Saying sorry would definitely fix things at least for me if it is done sincerely and not just because they wanted to let go of the guilt because that shit is done to make themselves feel better again. Insteasd of saying sorry for saying you didn't mean to, say sorry for saying hurtful things that you meant at that time, consciously or inconsciously (for me it sounds more in placed).
I love “troubled” people. You know, the people who don’t give a shit if you’re talking shit about them or not, they are just themselves, everywhere, every time. And it’s not an act, some may think it’s since it sounds incredible that a person is unapologetically their self given the world we live in and the criticism you face when you just go for what you want to, when you live in the moment. I’m not a fan of Miley as an artist. I can’t say I know lots of her songs, but I admire how artistically well she manages to be through her music. She puts her soul in it. You like it or not. And that, guys, that’s what release you free from the burdens of pretending to have your life together and be happy 24/7, which isn’t possible. I respect this woman for standing for what she believes. Usually, that’s the kind of woman people think is crazy. Maybe she is. But she surely knows she doesn’t need you to be happy, and that’s what matter the most.

It's social media, I don't understand why "following" is such a big deal. It doesn't mean anything. If Miley brought it up, fine. But I'd rather them focus on her and what she's been doing. i love miley so much 😭 as long as i can remember miley has always been in my life somehow. starting with hannah montana in 2006 and then watching her grow as an artist while i’m also growing up is so wild to think about. she’s always been a huge inspiration to me. it’s so hard to even explain like when i first met miley i was 6 and now i’m 20 and shes still doing what she loves and killing it!!!!!!

I hope one day Miley is able to understand what Hannah and her music at the time really did for those of us growing up during that era. Maybe it's not the most honest or realistic music and lyrics, maybe some of it is, but it's just as meaningful to hear those songs and be transported back to those times in our lives. See You Again always makes me think of my first school dance where I finally got to feel free and not judged by all of my peers because we all just enjoyed smiling and jumping and dancing along to that song. Rockstar reminds me of the mornings I would blast that song while putting my makeup on and thinking about how I was going to see my crush during school. Let's Dance takes me back to the moments where my mom and I would be stuck in traffic on the highway and I would yell the lyrics out of the window and dance like an idiot to try to make my mom laugh. Bottom of the Ocean taught me that it's okay to let people and memories of them go and accept that maybe I'll never see or think of them again and that's okay. Before the Storm taught me that it's okay to forgive the ones who hurt us....I could go on. Also I always find it weird and unfortunate that her "party days" are always brought up. I never really saw it as an extremety as so many people seem to. She was literally just going through her 20's, where it's incredibly normal to experiment and do risky things and figure out what you want and don't want in life, it's truly not that big of a deal and it's extremely normal, so it kinda sucks to see Miley constantly has to deal with people and interviewers bringing it up. Either way, I loved Midnight Sky the second I pressed play. It's not trying to be too much of any era or any genre. It's just fun :)

Woman should always be able and allowed to speak their minds without being told they are a certain kind of woman if they do or don't. I think labeling them as such is threatening to the patriarchy and then causes push back. We should just normalize woman speaking their minds, y'know? food for thought.
