Look up UCC if you want to see heavy trucks go mega fast. You would blown away at what a cummins or a duramax can do. FirePunk is a good channel to check out.
Cadillac needs to round that figure to 700hp in order to increase the width with the size of TRX, it would be very cool if Hennessey gave it a modification

I all I hear is pure American Glory! Hearing these V8 monsters at the same time is truly a treat. The squat on that Caddy is insane! LOL! I also think thr ESV should've been raced to level the playing field against the TRX(closer weight and length), but not that it matter much here. I can tell the TRX was not raced in Baja mode. That allows the truck to start in first gear and really cracks the shifts. It is also still remarkable what Ram accomplished on that truck with A/T 35s and its considerable weight.
The Escalade tuned for comfort is certainly more impressive in this race from an engineering standpoint - but I understand Mopar/Dodge fans and their obsession with straight line performance & drag race trophies. GM would embarrass Stellantis with a TRX competitor, just wanted to be clear.
@@mybro727 more like tuned for nausea. This is a "performance" SUV on 275 section all-season rubber from a lower-tier model? This thing is barely faster than a Grand Wagoneer. First GM has to figure out how to stop lifters from failing before they come for the King Kong TRX.😂

@@mybro727 in case you’ve forgotten, GM did make a competitor to the TRX and Raptor. It’s the ZR2 Silverado and it is the single biggest waste of money they’ve come out with in a long time. It’s barely cheaper than both of the competition and has the same powertrain as a Yukon Denali. Total embarrassment of a car. They added some extra ride height, added locking diffs and called it a day. GM has the tools to make an outstanding truck, yet they could not have fallen more flat.

While the TRX isn't winning against a luxury SUV in interior quality its still nice enough to the extent that the small lead the Cadi has in luxury is literally meaningless. GM fanboy lol

Great video 👍👍. I have to agree. My Cadillac Escalade absolutely flies, but off the line it has that split second hesitation. I plugged in an AFM delete to see if that would help. It was night and day. Instead of waiting until the computer switches it into all 8 cylinders, it always runs in 8 cylinders with the AFM delete. People say that you get worse mileage, but I didn’t buy a Prius. Great video. Thanks.

It was very much expected for the TRX to win. But, the guy in the Caddys was late on the gas, essentially when he did a countdown on the roll. As far as pricing go, your paying for luxury, a vehicle that looks and sounds better, along with it not being overrated. Though, I'd pick the Escalade V at a cheaper price by finding one that's wrecked not too bad with low mileage (obviously), but buying one brand new wouldn't be for me. All together, the TRX wins in performance, but grabbing some attention by women and driving in luxury along with a crazy good sound system from factory, Escalade V takes it all damn day.
Well another thing to mention is he said they were running the Escalade in sport mode which is not as aggressive as V mode. The TRX would probably still win because it weighs less and still makes more power but I think it would be closer.

TRX didn’t use it’s launch control, nor did he mention being in sport mode or not… as the caddy driver did have it in sport. The TRX is amazing… I love how I keep seeing videos of exceptions having to be made for other trucks to give them a chance.

Awesome video! I do think the Escalade can launch a lot better than that. I had a 6.2l trail boss and it would literally jump up while launching it in 4auto with trac control off. Idk could be different since it’s supercharged. That TRX is crazy though!

I agree. I think the Escalade could launch better as my 07 Silverado launches better, but it does have the 5spd allison and not a 10spd.
I would say is the transmission because I driven the 6.0 Denali with 4 speed advantage of not shifting too much I think helps more this kind of trucks compare to my Escalade 2010 with the 6 speed I something think the transmission is kinda figuring out like the guy said should I switch or keep going on eco mode

@@Bsims50 I did too, but that's what the previous owner said. Might be swapped in, but not sure. Only time will tell till I break the engine down and modify it soon. But if it DOSEN'T have the allison transmission, I can say it sure as hell launches pretty damn well for a built tranny if that.
I would kill for either of these. The ram is probably more fun though being more of an off-road focused vehicle

y'all need to give the guy in the caddy some caffeine because he sleeps to much😂😂 ... both the dig and the roll race the TRX has a full second on him before he steps on the gas to take off almost like he is intentionally giving the TRX the jump for some reason but he's just really bad at timing.

Buy 4th Gen Escalade or Yukon or Tahoe with 6.2 L86 for have the money of EscaladeV. Put STG1 high lift camshaft with all the supporting mods, put forged internals with lower compression ratio (stock is 11.5, put around 9), put a supercharger on it, tune and that's all. You have a faster SUV for less money and with solved factory problems.

I think the Escalade is simply just too big. GM definitely should’ve brought back the trail blazer performance line with this power plant. Would’ve been the hottest suv/crossover out

Yeah I test drove a trx because I was thinking on buying one lol. I could literally watch the fuel gauge drop as I was flooring it. Got me an x5M competition, now I can beat a trx and still get decent fuel economy 😂

My God, the way Dodge has engineered their vehicles to launch as hard as they do is otherworldly. A full size pickup truck that weighs as much as a yacht should not be able to take off the way the TRX does. But it does, and that's why we love Dodge.

I prefer Cadillac Escalade a thousand times, Ram trx does not offer infotainment screens, front cameras to be seen on the dashboard, double air conditioning outlets with courtesy light, it does not offer many passengers to be comfortable and a good trunk, it does not bring wi-fi , good agency sound with 36 speakers that brings speakers up to the headrests and ceiling, reclining passenger seats. // For the Ram trx to compare to an Escalade it is missing a lot. It is useless for Ram to be powerful if it will not offer all those amenities like that for which I want it.
