    • Corgis, in fact BOTH breeds called corgis, will knit you a new rug every two weeks. Size wise, admittedly pems only get to about 25 lbs. (hardly small); cardis (which you don't include) easily can reach 35 lbs. (males).

    • Pems can get pretty big too. My 1yr old is quite large and weighs 35 pounds. And he's not overweight according to our vet. And yeah, there is no shortage of fur to vacuum up daily.

    • Mine are sweet too. The girl shihtzu is “sorta independent” as she goes anywhere in the house without us and she is foxy even wont stand down to a fight with the male one. My male shihtzu is such a nice and patient dog and guards me and following me always. They are a good dog and love mine to bits.

  • I've owned, fostered, rehabbed and rehomed Chihuahuas since 2004. I have had as many as 7 at one time. Usually there were 4,5 personal dogs and 2 fosters. All my dogs were well socialized, well fed, potty and obedience trained before they went to their new homes. I just have 2 now and will probably be my last. They're 2 years old and I'm 65

  • I have a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) and she is very smart, great watch dog, very loyal, and lovable. She is a bit bossy and doesn’t realize she is only 5#s. The only draw back is she requires regular grooming (about every 2 months) because her hair grows fast. I try to brush her daily to keep tangles to a limit.

  • The narrator didn’t say it but the pembroke corgi sheds like crazy all year long. He doesn’t get very stinky so doesn’t require a lot of baths. Just a good brushing every day or two to help with the shedding.

  • We have a Maltese Shihtzu cross, and she’s adorable. Smart as a whip, and loves everybody, especially her family and extended family. She only sheds a bit from her long tail hair, but we keep it bobbed and it’s not a problem. I would recommend the breed to anyone!

  • I love my Bichon!!! When anyone meets her the first words are; what an adorable sweetheart!! I also have a male Pekingese. He is completely opposite of her!! He is cute but not so sweet. Loving to me but not to anyone else. Truly a one person dog. My Bichon was not only easy to train she is obedient, listens and wants to please. A little Angel.

  • Obviously someone didn't do their homework, Pomeranian shed enough to stuff a pillow! Had four poms. Very sweet dogs, can also lose all their fur an will not grow back. Of course if that happens they won't shed ❗🤣🐾🐾👍

  • We have owned two different Shih-Tzus. They are smart, loving, protective, and SOOOO cute. They both had sensitive stomachs and did not digest our food well. We had to stopped giving them tidbits. I love the breed & would get one again if I had the opportunity!

    • @@Maria-nh6in my pom is almost 7 yo and his light brownish red fur is all over our blue carpet...every week.... he sheds the most in Spring to get rid of his heavy winter coat...but does shed every day.... my friend has 5 Pomeranians and they all shed... if you adopted your Pomeranian from a rescue/shelter it is possible that it has a thin, poor quality coat from bad breeding practices... or if it had its coat cut too short repeatedly, the undercoat can be damaged and will stop growing.. Poms from good breeders have the standard double coat - the undercoat is very thick and sheds profusely..

  • I used to breed corgis, Pembroke and Cardiganshire professionally. I can tell you the Pembroke's can be a handful at times. These dogs are really large dogs in smaller packages! CHEERS!

  • I owned a Pembroke Welsh Corgi for a dozen years. She was a wonderful dog, but she shed as much as a German Shepherd! Our standard joke was that you could knit a sweater from the fur she shed! I am not sure how a corgi got on a ‘small dog that doesn’t shed’ list!

  • We’ve owned Lhasa Apsos for over 20 years, two were 14 when they passed and two are now 7. Great pups, loyal, nice size, do not shed, but need to go to the groomer. The Shih Tzu is a cross breed of the Lhasa Apso and the Pekingese, accepted by the AKC. We had two and they are great pups.

  • I have a Havanesse and she is the most friendly people can walk by when she is out in the yard and she does nothing just looks at them does not bother them at all and does not she one hair at all. Very sweet personality, loves children and to sleep by their masters.

  • 7 of these 10 breeds shed. The only "non-shedding" breeds on this list are the Bichon Frise, Shih Tzu, and Poodle. You should at least change the title; it's very misleading.

  • Cavaliers shed sooooo much my poor boy has been gone two years and I'm still finding his hair. Merlin our tri colour boy had my one sweater covered within minutes of getting him. False statements like this are why some people get these furbabies and then they are rehomed. Sad. I would however if I was getting another furbaby would get another. They are the most lovable ,loyal pups ever. They are however prone to diabetes. Our boy on his eighth birthday stood up dribbles ( large dribble) and was diagnosed two weeks later. Passed away from heart attack three months later . Not trying to scare but trying to educate. I still have our companion pup for Merlin when we went to the store a japanese chin ( really not good with kids ,I don't care what anyone says . But very loyal to their person.)he's going to be 11 . Good luck

  • Myself I have a rescued carin terrier he is my first small dog. His breed could have been on that list he has given me much joy in rescuing him I was rescued. We both got burnt out of paradise ca in the California camp fire of 2018. I know without him this whole trip would have been unbearable

  • Cavaliers do shed as well. But, not really a problem with regular brushing. They don't need much grooming.

  • I am a retired dog groomer, and I quite agree corgis shed and I know poms do shed also. I recently adopted a chihuahua mix, I think she is part corgi. Whatever she is mixed with she is a shedder.

    • I currently have 3 Cavalier boys and don't find them shedding! One is lying in my lap every chance he gets and I don't find hair on my slacks when he leaves. I only brush them a couple times a week.

  • I used to wash dogs it a dog grooming they used Palmolive mixed with water to wash dogs to make it really soft it’s just washing and hair blowing .For show dogs used Downey softener makes it fluffy

  • The coat of our Corgi is always drifting across the floor, like swirling sand in the desert --- they shed constantly. He barks and protects like a Doberman in a small body. Truly scared of sudden noise, hates the vacuum cleaner , falling leaves and rain. Bit of a psycho when the Zoomies hit !!

    • My girl has not been with us for close to seven years and still find her rabbit like fur in spots. Still miss her terribly…my present dog kind of resents being compared to “the perfect one”. He’s a sweetie but truly a bad dog.
