Our personalities match and I taught him a battle scene from '300'. His dad left when he was born. I don't intend to fill that void, but I told his mom, that I cannot be Another older male who abandons him. She said "maybe I was just meant to connect you two". • @@iMetmor You're right. But the country betrayed me and my parents. Russian officials took away money and real estate from my family, hiding behind the law. For example, in Russia, the state can easily take away any private land on the basis of improper use of this land, and how to prove that it was used correctly, yone will have to go to the state court where everything has already been decided in advance ...

      @romanvladimirovichpetrikov4947@romanvladimirovichpetrikov4947 Жыл бұрын
    • @@romanvladimirovichpetrikov4947 What do you mean by «hiding behind the law»? If everything was decided in court in avdance, you probably broke the law, which was the reason why the case got decided not in your favor. People in Russia do random shit all the time ignoring leagal provisions and then blame the government when they finally get punished for it.

      @iMetmor@iMetmor Жыл бұрын
    • @@iMetmor I apologize because I did not clearly describe the situation. In Russia, laws are very easy to interpret in different directions and the state uses them in such a way that there is always an opportunity to do exactly what is beneficial to officials. In Russia, it is useless to sue the state because it will always win the court, or in special cases, an objectionable person can be put in jail for a false accusation, and in prison they can already do anything with him. So many firms in Russia are taken away in this way. For example, they find drugs at the entrepreneur's house and offer either to transfer the company to those persons that the police will indicate or to go to prison, which means torture and humiliation. In Russia , there is essentially a caste system where there is a ruling class that can do everything and break all laws or change laws for their own benefit and ordinary citizens .. For example, in Russia it is impossible to hold rallies and protests without the permission of the authorities)) If a person goes to a rally without permission, the police catch him, he goes to prison for at least 2 years and all his accounts will be blocked and most of his property will be confiscated. I apologize for my mistakes and grammar)

  • If our boss friend's previous lesson was about harmony, this one is about focus. Or better, on staying focused by leveraging on two key habits we all can do. 1) By lowering the background noise, which eventually gives some form of addiction and blurs our vision, may it come from "hectically checking" social media, "gossiping" ppl, etc. These keep us in a deadlock of negative unproductivity. 2) while giving yourself some discipline. Maybe small things but, by doing them consistently, you contribute to build your own identity. 1+2 eventually converge in the "silence advice", and whose aftermath is a lucid awareness that "the" time will arrive, just when times (and us) are ready. It's funny, but I'm pretty sure that Marcus Aurelius would have loved our boss friend, and probably made him one of his generals. As always, one can find here, between the lines, some precious insight spacing from Chinese philosophy to stoicism. Thank you guys for such gems! :)
