Warms my heart to see Alex here, sitting in a UFC press conference, wearing a nice suit and obviously earning pretty well. I remember the video of him working on a tyre, way back in the day, clearly sad and dejected, but sporting a smile for his friend who was recording. He then battled his alcohol addiction, mastered kickboxing, and reached the top by virtue of sheer hard work. And even now, he’s humble.

First fight could of gone either way. Second fight izzy would have won with ufc rules, the refs had to pull him off Alex & give Alex an 8 count to recover. Third fight he had him rocked but the bell rang. If Izzy gets clipped with with 4 seconds left instead of 2 min like Alex, izzy is still champ.

If this is how Izzy needs to prepare himself mentally for the fight, then be it. But really, Alex has been really cool and humble, even after their first fight (in the UFC) he gave Izzy respect. Now in this conference, he continues to be respectful, which makes it weird that Izzy is coming in so over the top in comparison. Oh well, the fight is all that matters in the end.

This is why there should be a limit in how much weight you can put back on after you weigh in. Alex is a damn HW fighting at MW. I know people say, "if you can make the weight.." i mean hes like 220 on fight night...thats insane.

Izzy walks around at and at fight night in the cage at around 195, maybe close to 200 sometimes. That is at the normal average for ALL fighters who cut weight, around 10-15 pounds. But doing what Alex is doing, should not be allowed. He walks around and in the cage on fight night, at between 220-225. That is two weight classes more than your opponent.
