How to use Magic to see God & Conjure Spirits - The Sworn Book of Honorius - Liber Juratus

The Sworn Book of Honorius makes the boldest claim to power of any historical book of Magic - It allows one to produce the true Sigil of the True and Living God and employ it to obtain of a vision of the Celestial Palaces, the Ranks of the Angels, the Company of the Blessed and then a vision of the Divine Glory itself, to see God face-to-face. And, after this beatific vision, to employ that Divine Sigil to command the Celestial, Aerial and Terrestrial Spirits giving the majus nearly limitless magical power. This book even argued that the Church's attempt to destroy magical practice was proof that the Church itself was demonic control! No doubt one of the greatest survivals of medieval ceremonial magic, the The Sworn Book of Honorius or Liber Juratus Honorii is well worth deep and ongoing study!

    • I am reading in "A treatise on Cosmic Fire" by Alice Bailey pg 466 about a group ritual that needs to be "accurately" perfomed that would probably start the process of women mating with angels, on a larger scale, as to further evoulution. I think it would be a Vishnu/Dino ritual because of the nature of what the initiation process produces, where do you think i would look for it if im impatiently curious? Mithra rituals? Egyptian magic rituals? Freemason rituals were mentioned. I know you don't do her time period but when I think you'll understand why i ask, when HPBlavotsky says she is, not being dogmatic about the processes of initation, does that mean that because people come from different backgrounds genetically, racially, that initation won't have the same processes? like if an person from japan was to do this ceremony to draw down an angel, would they go through different steps then say an mormon, or an arabic person, etc? Cats/dogs/octopus/ants/spiders all have different ratios or something for transmutation? I know we would only be working with those that are already spiritually inclined, but just wondering. And because some peoples havent produced fruit, like mormon, would it just be easier, or would it look like a differnt thing then say someone that is written in the bible that has? any clue where i would find that kind of knowledge? On page 487 are the ratios to the Deo sigil of Solomons, ($MILE) (so you can live as a gollum more comfortably and not tun windigo after initiation, or fail and fall from bet to just a Christ after fasting for 8 days and only eating two so you can write the book) mentioned in this video. Are you seeing any variation in the letters/words on the outside of the various copies of that sigil? Thank you Doctor Sledge for all your great content and scholastic work.

    • Im looking at the sigil right now, and I know that an angel represents a day when fasting, im wondering if it would be an hour or a mile if i was walking., the burning of the internal fires, are what we are trying to stoke for it to be counted as half an angel. Hmmm... It's a sun,,a day, so i wonder if its the amount of time daily, which doesn't account for intensity of work out. I'm sure of the first two ratios at least just not the units. fasting a whole day is easy to count, it just a turn. Never even, never odd.

      @terraschaller1111@terraschaller111113 күн бұрын
    • maybe its E=MC squared? i need to experiment with units. everything is measured in light it puts out so we can grow a field. would primary source books have more light then secondary sources written by most people? probably. but what about evil peoples books, would they have less fire, or if they go from good to evil would their fire in their causal body chamge the rating of their books? or would stuff that they right from the point they turned evil forward have a lesser fire?

  • 25:10 As a lifelong Catholic, I feel safe in saying that even today, if you were to ask a priest to modify the words of the Eucharistic prayer within a mass to help you complete a magical ritual to compel a Divine action, while you probably won't be burned, you should expect to encounter significant resistance.

    • Considering people can pay to have a mass dedicated to a loved one, I wonder if a priest would necessarily have to be aware of secret magical objectives before accepting to recite a requested prayer? If it sounds innocuous enough, maybe he wouldn't give it a second thought, especially if the aspiring magician is known as a pious parishioner. If his family is influential and traditionally offers a substantial tithe, the priest might also feel obliged to accept. I'm just theorizing, though...

    • I'm doing initiation work and I'm wondering if my ratios for using the Deo sigil are correct? I used Ibn Arabi, "Openings revealed at MAkkah" and page 487 in "Treatise on Cosmic Fire" by ALice Bailey for figuring out the purification ratios.. A kingdom is 8, the beginning and the end are both Kindeness, so its a week long tABLE. Fasting is one turn of an angel a day, exercise is 1/2 an angel per mile/hour? 1/3 the third i think is reading/studying and fourth is praying. I think. ??? I know I can wake at night and it considered gambling, because the sun might not be there, and i have to wake up before sunrise to keep any of the gambling accumulated for sunlight. What do you think about any of this?

He loved Rumi and admitted that was where his first name came from, but the article claimed his friends were clueless about the provenance of Missabu. And so was I, until I saw Missabu listed as one of the aerial spirits of the Moon in a snippet from one of the Sworn Book manuscripts that you included here. Now I must let those Cockettes I’m friends with know the story. Thank you as always for your amazing work, Justin, and may Rumi sail with the Moon forever.

  • In a dream? I want my money back Honorius! I'm fascinated by these bridge-like texts that not only reach out in their own time in many directions but also act as conduits for older traditions, seeing both the corruption and innovation in motion through the ages reveals more than the rituals themselves. The more we can fill in the manner, method, and motivations of the transmission of traditions the cleaner the image we'll be able to produce, so it's good to hear it's become a topic of interest.

Considering the arguable essential component the concept plays in numerous Esoteric systems. I think most modern practitioners (and even some scholars) tend to associate the idea with the Christian conception of the demonic. A video on its history and later developments into the midevil period and renaissance could be very useful!

I loved your remarks about the fact that Magic has, weirdly, despite all the persecution and demonization it has endured, actually won in the long run... I found that touching and inspiring in a way that surprised me. Anyway, I wish you all the best as always! May beatific visions happen for all who wish them, says I. --N

  • The hardest medieval achievement to unlock. "You want me to say -what- during communion?" This video is a real... treasure. ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° I look forward to Dr. Puca's video. (I also think I need to watch "Inquisition Manuals - The Rise of Torture & How Magic Became Heresy" and then watch this a second time.)

  • Superb as always! I haven't studied this text, but I've heard about it for years...A number of things you mentioned here make me eager to see/hear Dr. Puca's take on it, as I wonder if things like the implied numerology of the text had an influence on Crowley, for example. Having worked with some asemic operations before, and having a general interest in voces magicae/"barbarous names," it was interesting to me to read through what you reproduced on-screen when referring to those portions of the text. I don't know if it was just my own odd vision (as in: my eyes don't function quite right) or something else, but as I was reading through them with the video paused, things went wonky for a second...and while I am more apt to ascribe this to my own ocular abnormalities, still, one wonders if this deliberate boggling of the senses might be not only the purpose of such practices, but also (when intensified by other practices like sleep deprivation or fasting) the beginnings of whatever altered sensual experiences were understood as the beatific visions instilled by the operation. Or, maybe not. But if it leads to treasure as an after-effect, hey, why not? ;)

  • This was the first grimoire I read and a major influence on every aspect of my life! I read this book online when I was only 14 and it gave me new ways of thinking about my ongoing religious education and informed my choices in the art I experienced and resultingly made. I am probably following this channel today (as well as being where I am generally) because I read this book. I am so excited to see you finally cover it! Thank you so much, Justin!
