  • For the one who spilled all the beads or whatever they were, and had to pick all the little things up, put a nylon or very thin cloth over the mouth of the vacuum hose, where it sucks, and vacuum them all up, taking the gathered beads from the nylon or thin cloth, as often as needed, until they are all picked up, without a ton of time and stress, or hassles, etc., and without having to pick them each up by hand, one by one! Saves a TON of time, I'd think! Lol. Hope they found this out before picking them all up by themselves!

  • 10:23 Good thing it wasn't a grease or oil fire, she would have burned down her house trying to put it out with water. I had a grease fire in my stove once from cooking meatloaf, I panicked briefly because of the flames, but then I remembered to use baking soda to smother it instead of water. I learned from a previous mistake not to use water on a grease fire because it will only spread the flames.

  • For future reference, thought everyone knew if you have a pan fire don't go picking it up and walking around you'll set fire to the kitchen if you drop it, get a tea towel and wet it under the tap then throw that over the pan to smoother it. Also if you have a chip pan fire and put water on it like that it will explode in your face and that will really hurt.

  • 10:30 Water was not the right solution - I learned that when I was quite little with a small wax fire in a coffee can (which should've been in a pan of water, but which I had put directly on the burner). I was so little I had to reach over my head to pour the water in - to put out the fire, right? - wrong! It flared up to the ceiling and I ran out to the porch and the dog ran out the door to the hallway. As I said below - the lid was the thing you needed. It was right on the counter. Understandable to get freaked out, but just look for a lid next time. Or something that would approximate a lid, like a frying pan or something.

  • 10:50 For those who don’t know, the very LAST* thing you do with ANY pan fire is pour water on it. Soak a cloth towel in water and drape it over the pan to cut off the oxygen. *If it is a pan full of fat, it WILL BE the very last thing you do. This has been a public service announcement, of sorts.🤪

    • Cloth towel is gonna make it worse since water is made up of 1 oxygen per 2 hydroxide. You need the oxygen mitigated at a low addition rate and not at a higher rate. Ice cubes or an ice pack scattered over will work well here.

  • Never pour water on a burning chip pan it will create a fire ball. Turn off the heat and smother the pan with a wet tea towel and leave the pan to cool.
