3D World honestly had one of the most underrated soundtracks in the entire franchise it's so jazzy!

Plus, who is going to go out and buy a Wii U in TWENTY TWENTY?! The Switch version is kilometers better than the Wii U original. (Notice the use of Kilometers instead of miles, and that's because Nintendo added in small, but welcome additions to this souped up port of 3D World, including Online Multiplayer.) Again, who would buy a Wii U, JUST FOR THE SAKE of playing a game that's already going to come out on a better console, and that game is within MONTHS from releasing? Honestly, 3D world honestly underrated overall, it had a bunch of new concepts and a great soundtrack. The only reason it didn't do the best was because it was on the Wii U

@@transcending_concrete There's the Xbox Smart Delivery Program it basically ensures that you don't have to pay for the exact same game twice for example if you bought Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One you can get the Xbox Series X next gen port for free via Xbox Smart Delivery Program. Nintendo should do a similar program for their Nintendo Switch just like what Microsoft is doing with their Xbox Smart Delivery Program.

You dont know how happy I am about this, ever since I was a child, whenever I saw Super Mario 3D world, I'd say to myself: "Oh, hey! I want that game!" But I was never able to get the game on my Wii U, fast forward to now, I bought the Nintendo Switch, once I found out THIS was coming out, I was so hyped. Wahoo, Nintendo!
You are going to enjoy it as you cannot imagine it!, I did have a Wii U a few years ago, then I had the opportunity to play it. But guess what? I loved the game so much that I will buy it again because I want to know what Bowser's Fury is :D

Dude it’s so good but even though there are 4 extra worlds and it takes quite a lot of time to 100% the game I still wish they added more postgame stuff. Or maybe that’s just me wishing that I could play with other people who aren’t trash at this game ;-; but you better believed I’m hyped and everybody else should be too

This is one of my favourite Mario games of all time. Some people said it wasn’t a true 3D Mario and didn’t like it as much, but I think that’s the point. To me this is more like a modern Super Mario World. It reminds me a lot of the SNES Classic with some of the older 2D Mario Games thrown in. Linear overworlds where you progress level by level, a choice between 4 characters like SMB2, hidden “Star”’worlds like in Super Mario World, the return of the Super Leaf, lots of bright coloured blocks and visuals from SMB3 and World, and a lot of classic music and sound effects from these games, remixed to sound more modern and jazzy. It’s pretty much the gameplay of the old games but the levels are mostly 3D. Roll on February!
I’ve only gotten back into gaming recently after gaming a lot in childhood on the NES, SNES and Game Boy. I took a total break during late high school years and college. After college I did have a Wii but more for Just Dance and trivia type stuff. But with the quarantine I was longing for nostalgia and also wanted to try AC. I’ve been playing AC and all of the old NES and SNES Mario games on the Nintendo online. I’m really wanting to try more modern Mario games no matter if they be brand new or ones I missed in my 20s. This is the first one I’ve seen where I looked at it and said “I have to have this”. It’s for the reasons you are saying. It’s like if my childhood imagination could make a dream of what Super Mario World would have looked like in the future this would be it. There is something so happy and exciting about it and it just makes me want to play it. So I completely see what you are seeing. My two favorite games of all time are Super Mario World and Mario 3. So if there are any other switch games you think I might like based on that I’m looking for suggestions. Thanks so much.

Dude when I saw 1:05 I literally popped off my chair lol
it looks just kinda like the lil roll feature thing you could do in 3D Land and 3D World by crouching and hitting sprint, because it immediately transitions into that when mario hits the ground. I've never tried to use this move midair in either 3D World or 3D Land and didn't know it was possible, so they may very well have added this feature, but it doesn't entirely look like the dive from odyssey...

This game is truly amazing, and it's incredible that we can finally revisit this Wii U classic once again on the switch, and even with new additions to gameplay which is great.
I remember my cousin getting a Wii U December of 2014 and we played this game on it and it was really fun

Probably added since he didn't really have a special ability before. - Luigi jumps high and falls slow, with slightly slipper physics - peach could float without tanooki leaf, but was slower - toad can run the fastest, but with a slightly lower jump - rosalina can spin, but can also high jump like luigi. - and now mario has his dive from odyssey.
I believe Sakurai's style is rubbing off on Nintendo. The way they did the '+' zoom at 1:29 felt like it was going to be an epic Smash reveal

That was in the original (as well as 3D Land), you could do it by crouching and hitting B or something. You could then jump while doing it and get a longer long jump. Nothing new.

Don't forget how people complained that the Wii U got 3rd party games a bit later than PC/Xbox/PS4, yet everyone's eating up ports of 3+ year old games on the Switch.
IMO without Odyssey, it wouldn't be as appreciated now -- Odyssey gave confidence that sandbox Mario still is a thing, so we can appreciate 3D World as a 2.5 game part of the series now.

I always thought that. NSMBU was good with the best level design out of the "New" games but 3DWorld shows better what the console was capable of bringing to us.

Sure, I did have the original Wii U version but I can decide to skip out the Switch port plus I would also assume that most of this port's sales will come from the people who never owned the original release. Especially the ones that thought the Wii U was just an add-on.

Wow, this brings so much nostalgia for me. I remember always playing this game with my brothers, I can remember playing most of these stages, yelling at each other for missing a green star, sometimes cheesing the levels, sometimes just exploring the stages, sometimes messing with each other, good times. good times. So yeah I'm buying this. Also, another memory is always struggling on *STUPID HISSOCRAT.* "Just climb onto the snake" is basically engraved into my mind. Seeing that stupid snake finally explode was so satisfying
