It's gonna be tough for Iga, as Hadad Maia has a lot of support in Madrid from the Brazilians!!! But I think 1GA has the goods!! It's a big game as far as rankings goes and i think she wants to give Rybakina a pay back in the final!!!
From what I've seen so far in this tournament, Swiatek is in the zone... she will most likely win this encounter!

I think Swiatek will lift trophy. Madrid is the only clay tournament she has not won yet, after beating Cirstea she said that it was her best performance of the year so she is gradually getting into her best clay shape. In game against Maia everything is in Swiatek favour, early hour which Iga likes, H2H, shape, motivation (first in career Madrid title) so I expect 2:0 with Swiatek dropping max 5 games. She lost to Rybakina but i don't think Rybakina can play bettter on clay than in Stuggart where she has clinical conditions for her serve, and I also have no doubt Swiatek did not play there her best, probably because of obligatory BJK Cup she had to participate in instead preparing for clay.
Always an excuse for her loss against Rybakina. Keep throwing your excuses while Rybakina improves her H2H
@@rupindersingh9952 Swiatek is focused on improving her number of master titles, grand slams, number of weeks as #1, number or WTA Finals, Olympic Medals. This are her goals. If Rybakina ambition is to improve H2H maybe she should also improve her h2h against Blinkova, Punticewa, Samsonova, Hadad Maia and so on, in all cases she has negative H2H... So far this season she can not win anything except for WTA 500 titles, moreover she failed badly at AO and Indian Wells which are way more prestigious and when last year she get to the final.
@@rupindersingh9952 Regarding excuses, maybe I should remind you how many times Rybakina justified her loses by health/ injury , bad schedule, bad weather conditions (WTA Finals) ? If she would be #1 and started explaining her loses that would be considered as disrespect of her opponents. When Swiatek said last year that she played with rib injury against Rybakina in Indian Wells (which was true as she had to skip next Miami tournament when she was about to defend title) that words put her under huge public scrutiny because as #1 you have to be careful what you speak out to public.
Iga looks impressive but Beatriz could be a real test, she's beaten some excellent players and has needed a confidence boost for a while
