I have 4 boats and and a jet ski and my ex always got mad about me buying, rehabing and selling boats but always loved riding in them.
Thanks for keeping your wifes reaction in the video. Many of us collectors have had that same look. I might side with her on this one. Although the motor has huge potential. Very sad that someone did not care for what was a beauty of a boat in its time. Look forward to the part 2. Cheers

Awesome FREE Boat!!! I went once to get a free boat with trailer and ended up getting three from the same person. I hardly ever turn down free boats .. But anyways the motor looked good and it has power steering. The shifter control looks decent shape the trailer might need alittle tlc but the rollers look newer. If motor cranks and I know ya the man that can get it to. It will be a good motor to put in a new project. Plus that trailer would be a good one to mount a engine hoist on . trailer puts the out drive in the proper tilt when trailering. trim is under way,prior to start up you trim down some our COBALT had it. their should trim indicator. very bottom push takes the shifter out of gear push that and squeeze the shift knob then you pump the throttle to pull fuel into the fuel bowl. crank pump crank hey it’s old school. To set the throttle bring back to click re hit the bottom button inch or so past idle. let it sit their until it warms up then re engage shifter click get her backed of trailer bring idle up some more eh 1500 for a few but make sure we used to leave the bilge blower going just to keep fuel vapors clear. Bow cleats you gotta lotta work ahead. prop dinged up.

piston rods for the out drive are missing four rubber rings that fit between the mounting points . i’d do a complete engine tune up oil change fuel and oil filter lube stuff. fresh water pump, lower unit change plus it checks the seals for water intrusion. carb filter on top we gas under the the housing swished it out or use carb clean let it air dry. check freeze plug. these engines require to to drain the block open pet cocks remove water hose leave it open so it drips air dries leave out drive in the run position it to drains if not engine block is done. oil changes every spring and filters. need to get MERCURY black paint for the lower unit skeg. pull prop check for fishing line lube prop shaft send prop out to get re ground throws balance off damaged. definitely suck the fuel out clean out tank best to store full so not get moisture in the tank add fuel cleaner/stabilizer never had a lick of trouble, other than carb went out of adjustment flood stall when trying plain put. carb jet cleaned new fuel line. the temperature sending unit quit age we babied ours waxed heavily kept the teak up. Dad decided to sell her NOT what i wanted to do their went my summer fun tubing riding. no it wasn’t new She was family. I don’t know where she’s at probably looks like this. i don’t want think or know.

Gday mate yep that one has seen better days pity reallly as it would have been a great boat in its day bow rider , just out of curiosity i know you guys drive on the wrong side of the road but i noticed the front nav light the port and starboard are the wrong way round port red left starboard green right or is it different in the states .
