  • Another great video. There seems to be more enjoyment in the build than the running. There appeared to be a step on one side fixing of the barrel support and your after market hatch kit appeared to be missing the radial hinge!! Please don't think I am critical but just curious on the detail. Can't wait for the next and final video. Ahhhhhh - cheers.

Have loved your progress and binged all the videos this with and this morning just caught up as you are about to finish! It took me a long time to be in a position to start this hobby, but I am so pleased that I took the plunge. It is a great way to distract from the modern day stresses. I do hope you manage to get into this as it is so rewarding. Armortek do have several payment plans which may be worth looking into. Hope you go on to watch my other large scale tank builds.

  • I have seen a builder use cabinet magnets to attach the turret top, and I think the top deck to the body of the tank. You are doing a great job! Hope you show the man/men you put in the tank and where you grt them from . Also, what type of paint did you use on the tank/

    @davidligon2003@davidligon2003 Жыл бұрын
    • Hi David, Yes, I have seen that also, but I think unnecessary, because the top deck does not move once the turret is on. I did consider using something similar for the turret lid, but it actually sits quite well under its own weight. I only use two of the fixings to secure the turret lid when driving. I do cover the figures and where to get them from in a later video. the paint I have used is as follows: Base primer - P309 etching primer, then 2 x pre-finish primer coat in grey and 3x top coat Fosco Industrial Army Paint Color: WH. Dunkel Gelb, 400ML spray Matt. Rubbing down with wet and dry between coats. Hope this helps. Thanks again for your continued supporting comments. Have a great weekend.

Sorry I don't think that came across regarding the Armortek comet. Quite the opposite in fact very positive. You are one of a very few to share you're build and I massively applaud you for it. Yes, really happy that the Forum recommended Armorpax...they have some great reasonably priced upgrades. I decided against the engine fans etc, as once the turret is on, it is impossible to open the engine bay access door without removing the stowage bins and I had planned the power on switch and smoke switch to be located in one of the rear access grates.
