WORLD’S LARGEST PLANE! Antonov AN-225 in Montreal FOR COVID-19 RELIEF!
Well here it is... The world's LARGEST aircraft, the Antonov AN-225! My first time seeing such a massive jet and did it ever stir up a lot of buzz for Montreal spotters! Due to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, Quebec has been in short supplies of medical equipment - so to aid our government, Nolinor aviation chartered out this beast to bring in tons of PPE's... and to give an idea of how much there was in the aircraft; it took the team 8-9 hours to offload the entire plane WOW! Thats crazy! Huge respect for the entire operation; that is not easy.
Here we see it landing on runway 24 full of PPE and departing back to china empty to pick up more equiptment - I hope you enjoy!

Man, that is one loud plane. I never got to see her when she came to Abbotsford back in 1989, as I wasn't born yet. I hope someday to see her, it is a bucket list item.

What a beautiful bird...serving in the skies until the end. I'm glad it still was up in the skies in 2020, long after it's original purpose with the Soviet Union. Shame she's gone now, but glad she's not forgotten!

Why were the ground crew walking up to the Ant crew without even basic masks?? Those guys were smart to be in hazmat suits since you can't trust the locals to look out for safety. Can you imagine if one of the Ant crew or pilots got sick???? Just basic disrespect on part of YMX ground crews and others there.
Smart move to get back when it started to turn for parking...wouldn’t want to get jet blasted by those big boys 😅
