Before Karate Combat, Chuck Norris launched a similar Full Contact karate organization "World Combat League" (where Stephen Thompson fought).
I like the thumbnail. It suggests that Bas is explaining how Karate Combat is basically countering axe kicks with uppercuts to the crotch.
We need Judo Combat
that's Jujutsu...not the BJJ abomination...
@@proverbialinsightwhat's up with people worshipping one art but completely disregarding another?
Judo combat would be sick. I have been trying to work out the rules though and not sure how it would work
@@BestPropTutorialsspiked concrete floors
Sombo is that
bro why did mike o hearn show up out of no where LMAOOOO
lmao I just noticed that
Could this be the real life Kengan Ashura? Rich guys putting in fighters for Wall Street related deals?
So far that is Josh's only loss in KC. I learned karate under his father Rick when I was a kid here in Leesville, LA. That whole family have trained for like three generations. It's crazy. Definitely love watching KC!
this thing has great potential , all the casuals who hate grappling will love it
LFG🎉 Karate to the moon.
Kickboxing are already Karate Full Contact the only thing new in Karate combat are the Takedown allowed.
Welcome to the group joe. Karate Kombat and Hedera
what? haha. Went over my head on this one.
@@JREGreatestHits HBAR/Hedera is a crypto that the new karate app runs on. Dig in on Hedera. It can be a life changing investment. Their governing council/owners are companies like google Boeing Ubisoft and many more.
Faster Cheaper Greener
I have a question do you hate karate? Or just sport karate
sport karate and mcdojos
@kharlangeloguanzon8666 which is not real karate... so wheres the beef with karate
@@batissta44yep that’s the sad part
Sport Karate
Pride rules were way better. If the idea is to display real combat kicking downed opponents must be legal. Its banned because its the only thing you should ever do in a real world situation. Get the opponent down. Get space. Kick him. You cant truly say this discipline or that discipline is supreme with it out it being in play. A lot of wrestling and jujitsu are only optimal because of rules limiting options.
i feel you, seeing Herb dean ref in OnE-FC changed my whole view on MMA OnE-FCs ruleset is superior to UFCs
the bites and eye gouging should be too smartass
yessir. theres a reason theres so many soccer kick highlights. I mean the very first UFC fight ended in kicking a downed opponent to the head. Teila Tuli is a great guy tho
15 min. No rds. No time limit. Bare knuckle. Gi.
You'd just have a bunch of gassed out fighters or stoppages due to superficial damage, where a time out could quickly fix (e.g. small cuts etc).
@@kami_178950k finish bonus then lol
World Combat League all over again
So how is karate combat different from kickboxing, aside from ground and pound?
In karate they have more "karate style” strikes, for example on how they throw their techniques. another difference is how in karate combat they have the ability to perform upkicks, while the fighters who are standing can execute ground and pound techniques. following a duration of 5 seconds, both fighters are raised back to a standing position.
@@cuthisface yeah, so its different from having 5 seconds of "ground fighting"
And karate has takedowns
@@thunderkatz4219 i include it in ground and pound. Very minor differencr
Takedowns, and a point system that encourages kick heavy combat.
So you are lying on an angled surface as opposed to a flat one as you suffer dehabilitating head strikes? Good deal!!
Needs to be bare knuckle. I also would prefer a gi to simulate clothing.
Weird rules and weird area
people should fight on grass ...that would be badass
Joe hates karate tho
Nope he did taekwondo which is basically Korean karate and he was US state champion. You clearly don’t know JRE
@Jeffro5564 u clearly dont know martial arts.
Hey Joe, if you really want an interesting interview, you should try to get Leemon Baird, the creator of Hedera Hashgraph. The tech is incredible and it will be the future of crypto. His lectures are online.
Why will it be the future of crypto?
Just call it boxing wrestling 🤷 karate isn’t even it
What?
Nothing about this is wrestling
They also use kicks
Correct, it's not sports karate. It's basically MMA with more focus on stand-up which basically negates the BJJ part. I don't even think they do much clinching, which means more of the rules favour styles like karate, taekwondo and hence why they're calling it karate combat.
