  • Rash in Danish is also 'udslag'. Headache is 'hovedpine'. 'Klachten' looks similar to 'klage' in Danish which means complaint.

  • Dank je wel kim❤️ I am trying to learn Dutch so I can continue to work as a nurse in the hospital here in the Netherlands. I am older and dyslexic but trying my best with my course I am doing but thank god for your videos! So many things that are not explained and just expected to know etc so I really really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos for us all with such great explanation! Is there any tips you / anyone give for remembering / memory? There is so much to remember my head explodes and I am having trouble retaining anything I learnt from an in-depth lesson. How do I remember everything 😂. Thanks again Kim, much love 💕

    • I’m very happy to hear that!! What I always like to do is make sticky notes and put them all around the house. You take of the note when you remembered a word and then you write a new one :)

  • There does exist at least one lunatic in the world who chose to thumb down sweet sweet Kim's video. There is no other explanation than severe mental illness to do that. I had no idea that learning Dutch would make me laugh this bad, it is almost addictive now for my Wednesdays ! Naively I guessed zalfje was Dutch for selfie. Made me wonder how selfie could heal a rash?

    • @@learndutchwithkim Waar kom je oorspronkelijk vandaan, Kim? Je spreekt heel goed Nederlands, met ook heel goede uitspraak, maar ik kan je accent niet goed plaatsen (het is niet Nederlands maar ik vermoed dat het wel iets Europees is, klopt dat?).

  • Goede video! Als "sinds ongeveer een week of drie" betekent "since about three weeks", hoe kunnen we zeggen "for about one or three weeks"? Also at 7:47 you write that "een week of drie" without "ongeveer" means "about three weeks". So is "ongeveer" needed or not to convey the idea of "about" in the full sentence? Dank je wel!

    • Dank je wel! Well, actually "ongeveer" is redundant in the sentence, we could easily leave it out and then it still means "about a three weeks". And for about 1 or 3 weeks: "iets van 1 tot 3 weken"of "tussen de 1 tot 3 weken"... Something like that :)

    • Oh ja dat is verwarrend, sorry, maar je kan in dit geval allebei gebruiken! Ik ben een prepositiecursus aan het maken en als we bij "met" en "bij" komen dan zal ik dit nog een beetje meer uitleggen :) Dus als je je inschrijft/ingeschreven bent dan komt dat aan bod.

  • Seems to me - the final N in tegen and others, is always silent. So it is pronounced teecha and not teechen .. ??
