These guys had such interesting powers that were so different from your typical ki blasts, I really wish they could've been at least a bit more competent in the Tournament of Power.

@@user-zj4zz4un5z A bit off topic, but it's actually one of the things I like more about Yu Yu Hakusho. Overall, I prefer Dragon Ball, but Yu Yu Hakusho did a much better job of giving us characters with interesting and unique abilities. Not just variations of ki blasts that hardly even feel different from one another aside from their names. A comparison I tend to make because of how many similarities the two series share.
YYH is one of the best because of that variety, and the writing.
@@user-zj4zz4un5z Doesn't the DB Super manga not have this issue (as much) compared to the anime? I remember a lot about the manga is better on average terms of more diverse combat. The fact that Goku and Vegeta use Super Saiyan God base (the red hair) and balance it with SSG Blue because they have to balance ki drain vs power is already a huge difference.

It’s been established since Ep 78 that the Trio de Danger are somehow not exhibiting a Ki signature for them to sensory detect.
Love how when characters AREN'T blind, but someone attacks from behind or prepares an energy attack they just "You know that won't work, right?" or block the sneak attack last second without looking because they can sense them. But BLINDED, they suddenly forget how to sense ki until the last damn second. Also, fast little edit here, yes I know this dude doesn't really exude a ki that can be tracked, but this crap still happens with others pretty often.

Fighting with poison is something we havent seen in a while. Until you realize Akira Toriyama writes interesting species that i bet 40% of have poison resistance and 10% posion imunity (why? Tell me how will you poison a ROBOT? or shapeshifter?)
People forget Gohan is a Master that fight since he has 4 years old against Experienced warriors he can fight blind, Lavender fighted against Vegeta SSJ in TOP he's tough too.

By the time of RoF, Gohan had lost his Ultimate power and could only resume his SSJ powers like in this episode .A few hours after this episode, he regains it.

@@agerard6297 While they were training for the universe tournament. Krillin tried to explain to Gohan that it wasn't a deathmatch and that cunning and trickery would be just as important as strength. He then proved this point by blinding Gohan and forcing him into a ring-out which means Krillin technically won the match even if Gohan was significantly stronger.
BUT How Could Kuririn warn him before this Episode 80 fight when said warning is made in Episode 84?

Gohan's non sense downgrade is even worse than his asspull upgrades. If ki sense is so much a part of you that you get to feel whenever some high power arrives somewhere, it's never going away and you're never fighting using your eyes (like Frieza did in namek, for instance). It shows how lost they are and created zero dramatic effect.
DB fans fr have a tendency to critizise a show they never even watched. They literally explained in this fight Lavender(the wolf) doesn't have ki to project off of hence why Gohan can't sense him if you bothered to pay attention

Don't assume I didn't watch to prove or drive your point home. Also, don't forget they also previously made a point in the entire show to make it so that if you are way above your enemy, absence of ki projection by them is not a problem, e.g. androids didn't project ki and future Gohan and Trunks fought them when there were things blocking their vision. They also sensed their attacks with ease. This gets confirmed in the manga, Moro saga to be specific, when Piccolo tells 17 that he called the androids becsuse they don't have ki. So there must have been some sort of radar, exactly what Gohan does here, at work when they fought the androids, otherwise they would be fucked. Gero's escape is facilitated via this absence of ki, but their ki was much lower back then, not something that made THE ENTIRE PLANET shake, like Goku's SS3. Sense improvement and predicting the enemies via air moving by their attacks was also a thing Goku did to Tien WAAAAAY back then. It's implied that it's a basic level of combat that all of them can achieve with proper training, a tribute to martial arts movies and mythos. Using the ki as a barrier and properly protecting yourself from physical harm and effect is also something well established in Dragon Ball and Vegeta actually does that in the tournament of power. So yeah, it's a downgrade and the enemy actually projecting ki seems to be implied as just something that facilitates the process, not something mandatory for the ki sensing to work.
@@urielnascimento3567 It's very possible that the poison was having more of a detrimental impact on him than we're told. Making it more difficult for his body to function at peak performance.

Because Lavendar and his teammates didn’t give off a signature. This was noted in the previous episode. Gohan had to rely on sound & air disturbance, and then used his SSJ aura to Radar Lavendar’s presence.
