My mom would send our dachshund into my room to wake me up on the weekends, haha. He'd jump on the bed and try to lick my face until I got up.

I had a miniature dachshund named Bismarck who simply hated mornings. He was super grumpy, especially if it was cold outside. He never wanted to get up from his warm bed.
