I loved that moment when he relaxed and enjoyed the human touch, realizing that he is finally safe and no one is going to hurt him.
Those moments Eldad spent with Ralph by the brick wall at the vet's are some of the most poignant and heartwarming I have ever seen. Thank you for what you do.
That moment when he finally trusted Eldad. My God, what an incredible moment to capture on camera. So beautiful, so touching. Eldad, you are an angel.
8 years later and watching Ralph still makes me cry, literally. I just don't understand how someone can abuse such a cute little man.

It's amazing how quickly animals can forgive humans for abusing them and neglecting them. Truely beautiful angels
Leasha Yeah it's so heartbreaking to see that most humans treat like shit those pure beings and they can't defend theirselves enought. We are not better than them they deserve a lot more than us
They know it's a different person I reckon. I don't think they forgive so easily, this is more of a case of learning trust again with someone new.
Leasha, that is absolutely true, I see it every time in the HFP videos. You could see the exact moment that Ralph relaxed and realised that he was safe and secure. Amazing. Just amazing :) x

Unlike human's...animals live in the moment.
Lovely to see that transition from agitation and aggression to recognising that you're not a threat and beginning enjoy being pet.
I went through this with one abused rescue and it nearly broke me. Eldad does this for a living and deserves some kind of medal for his courage, love and patience.
Eldad recognizes that rehabilitation starts immediately and he is so wonderful with them.
Humans give them pain, but when they see love from us they forgive us and start to trust us again, what wonderful creatures far far better than humans

well you're wrong. Dogs are capable of very nasty things too. They can kill and eat their own puppies for example and they can kill human babies too

I love that final picture of him being held in his Mama's arms! He looks so very happy, content, and loved! it was all worth it. this is why no dog or cat should be given up on. All they need is Love!
I love how he was so scared but then when he was getting petted for the first time he closed his eyes like he was thinking "finally..."
It's that moment of realisation that not all humans are assholes :)
If you think about it, humans and dogs are EXACTLY the same. We are as a species SO SCARED of each other. When we show each other love, it’s the same as Ralph’s reaction. The major difference is that dogs know what love is. Unfortunately, humans don’t.

So beautiful. I have noticed that with other rescues. They really are starving for affection but at the same time they have had to have their defenses up while on their own or while being abused. He finally had someone he could trust.

u cant blame these dogs for being aggressive after what they've been through. those who abused them should. thank you for rescuing these dogs

I cried too when I saw his eyes looking at the volunteer. I could feel how hurting it was for him. Dogs are simple, and they need to be loved and cared, and they will put all their trust in you.
holy moly. got to the part you're talking about. powerful. :( I'll be hugging my 3 later when I'm home. they all come from various situations of abuse but are now treated as family members. I hate to think of any of them being this angry. too see that new trust forming in him is tough to watch without tearing up.

That's true. Some people seem to forget that dogs are very social animals by nature, and dogs like this one who've become hardened from abuse and loneliness must feel like they've gone to heaven when they realize they've found someone who cares and will help them.

Wow! I’ve watched nearly all of your rescues, Eldad, but this one - watching that hyper-tense, frightened dog - start to close his eyes and very slightly relax (when you were still using the blue rag) was truly amazing and extremely moving! Just an incredible moment! Again, a very sincere, heart-felt “thank you” to you and your staff. 🇨🇦
my goodness you could see the change in his expression when he actually allowed him to pet him with the blanket. It looked like he was waiting for that for a long while! So sweet
that part where he pet him with the blanket and the dog calmed down nearly made me cry
Seeing Ralph's demeanor change on camera was just a special moment. He was definitely abused as are almost all of them.

His tail said everything. At first he is full of scared but when his second chance appeared his tail looks so happy. I am so proud of you,knowing that you exist, makes me think that there is some angels in the earth.

you can see the expression on the dogs face when he starts scratching his head you can tell he's thinking "well that feels kinda nice!"

you inspired me alot and when my dog acts agressive to me and other dogs i know how to touch him without biting me and now his all loving and cuddling with me

It is so cute when he pets him with the towel on top of the head. That's when the dog starts to believe in hope.
Also, during the bath he LITERALLY looks like he’s smiling lol
I know this is an older video, but I love it. You can see the very moment when Ralph's demeanor changed and he decided that maybe, just maybe, THESE humans weren't going to hurt him after all...and then he became a whole different dog. Thank you for saving him, and being patient enough to allow him to reach that point

I can understand that some of the music that has been chosen for these videos have a meaning to match the sentiment of what rescuing is all about. Perhaps the music can be for the intro/outtroor in the background softly so that we can still hear your voice. Thank you for all you do!

He.was fighting...No place to run. He's terrified and so sad looking. After awhile he gives up but still frightened. Then...He surrenders to human touch and how good it feels.such a loving

Eldad knows: Anger or aggressiveness is usually fear, And perfect love casts out or wins over fear. Hope for Paws always has been showing and having unconditional love and it melts away all that heart wrenching fear these poor puppies have through whatever they havebeen through.💝💝💝
@Steve A People like you do not understand about having a rescue animal it been to a lot the lives have been change they not homeless anymore you But you don't understand it so many animals out here have been tossed out on the street but people don't hear how they live or die but you don't understand it

You do a brilliant job and it makes so glad there are People like you about I have always had Rescue Dogs my Gissi passed away 3 months ago it broke my heart, he was a rescue dog it took me 3 Years to teach him he can trust People around us that I will never let anyone hurt him again, no age or history on the boy as he was found on the street half beaten to death he gave me 9 happy years a lot of Health issues but he was worth every penny ...........keep up the great work

I am actually going to use this method of rehab on a dog at my local humane society. They’re gonna put her down soon because she has fear aggression but imma try to save her by doing this
