@@darianzielinsky96 that's not the proper analogy. Most people wouldn't paint the same picture. They'd paint a different picture with the same paint in the same style. Korns constant pursuit of evolution, experimentation and change has kinda moves them away from the sound and style everyone fell in love with in the beginning. unironically my favorite Korn song, it's so fucking good. it's dynamic with how the drum patterns change throughout the song, the riffs are heavy, as usual for Korn, the song changes keys and vibes for pretty much every section and Jonathan just seems to be having so much fun trying all these voices and styles. and unlike a lot of covers on the Nightmare Revisited album, this doesn't feel like an established band changing their style slightly to fit this fun spooky vibe, it just sounds like a regular Korn song that'd be on Follow The Leader or See You On The Other Side. like, this song seems right for Korn, talking about brutally torturing Santa feels perfect for them, just change the names of the characters in the song like Oogie Boogie, Jack or Sandy Claws, and it'd be like one of those parody christmas songs they did like Christmas Song or Jingle Balls.
