  • Dimash assessment from an Italian musician: "I have known Bel Canto since I was born. Let's make one thing clear: Dimash is not only good in this or that field, in this or that aspect of singing, Dimash is the sound field, Dimash is a totality. This is no longer just about octaves, whistle registers (as you'll hear), or even more than a simple, huge, vocal technique, Dimash has a universal voice. To be clear, his voice is like what in biology is called an all-powerful cell. In this sense, it is a "mother voice". From this cell any type of tissue can be generated, which are commonly called musical genres. Its transitions are such that the transition no longer exists. Dimash does not sing the different genres (opera, pop, rock, also rap, etc ...). Dimash already has, from the beginning, all genres. In his case, musical genres are nothing more than a coloratura, an inflection, a decline of his general voice. The same applies, of course, to all your voice records. This also leads to the fact that he sings easily in various languages. The different national languages are nothing more than determinations, subspecies, of their general sonority. Let me give you an example that is also a confirmation: Dimash has sometimes been criticized for not having dedicated himself exclusively to the Opera. It was Dimash himself who declined the invitation to specialize in operatic singing, and this is perfectly consistent with his nature and value. Dimash is not just an operatic singer, not just rock, not just pop, or anything specified and specific, simply because he is a "holistic" singer in both the philosophical and scientific sense of the term. Dimash is a "singing system" that is more than the sum of its own parts. He sings with his whole body. This fact does not only refer to technical considerations related to the posture to be taken at different times and singing modes. It is first of all that, as I have said, in Dimash singing is equivalent to the whole organism. I guess sooner or later this should have happened to someone. It happened to this Kazakh boy. In short: The other singers, all the other singers, perform a song. Dimash executes himself."

  • Music scholars have said a voice like his only comes around once every thousand years or so. I take the probably out and say he os indeed the best Vocalist in the world as well as the best within documented history, his parents are vocalist and instrumentalist so he gets some genetically, and yes he was singing piano keys pitch perfect as a toddler and was the youngest to be accepted in the music school at age 5 and he currently is finishing up with his thesis. The last factor outside of genetics and many years of hard work, he has basically a defect but its not bad, his vocal folds are much larger than average sized which helps to explain how he can scale such a vast range. He has basically mastered all the techniques for being who he is, voice control, microphone control, showmanship, emotives, and I am certain I am missing a lot of other qualities he has. And as you correctly noted, he is a wonderful, chartiable, humble, respectful, and sincere young man, he is a absolute professional on stage but off stage, while he is very intelligent, he can seem like a innocent well behave slightly shy teenager, he just turned 28 last month. I hope that was informational. Other suggestions Adagio, Hello, screaming, know vocalized and sung versions, Show must go on, Confessa/Diva dance, Olimpico, Ave Maria, Ikanaide, Opera 2, love of tired swans, Unforgettable Day Gakku (Has a huge surprise toward the end, not going to ruin the surprise for you ), and so much more, this and other suggestions left will keep you very busy, but he has a huge amount of content besides all these that are great. I subscribed in hopes you take this journey 🙂🙏

  • Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. • Dimash has extra-ordinary talent, but without putting in a lot of hard work, he would never have been able to develop his voice to what it is now. Many people have raw talent, but few have dedicated their lives to perfect their art the way Dimash has. Because Dimash has studied voice since he was 5 years old and practiced several hours every day throughout his life, he was able to keep the upper registers after puberty when most other boys his age went through their voice changes. With continuous practice as an adult, he was - and still is -- able to extend his range significantly, both in the lower and upper registers. In interviews, Dimash compares his vocal exercises to the kind of training athletes have to undergo. He is a very disciplined artist. In addition to 3 hours vocal practice every day, he also exercises daily and swims under water to strengthen his lungs and chest muscles to support his voice. As a dedicated Muslim, he does not smoke, drink alcohol, use drugs or profanities, or engage in questionable social activities. You will find no scandals about him. He surrounds himself with his beloved family and like-minded friends to stay well-grounded. Dimash said in interviews: "Many people say, it's1% talent, 99% hard work. Through hard work a person improves, through hard work a person grows. But still, first of all, it's nature. And we should perfect the talent that Allah entrusted us, practicing every day or throughout the day." He is a very humble person, continuously working towards ever greater mastership of his art, always striving to be worthy of every song that he is performing. That is why he is such a powerful presence on stage: he always gives 100% to his music and his audience.

His stage presence and charisma are just as important as his vocal range and his timing and his control and his ability to handle virtually every music genre known to man. Other singers have one or a few of those talents and characteristics; Dimash has them all.

  • Here he performed as a guest, at Slaviansky Bazaar 2018. I think at the end, he expressed how special that stage was for him, because winning the Slaviansky Bazaar Grand Prix in 2015 was sort of the beginning of his career (he says "moya kar'yera" in the speech, meaning "my career") His first fans (before the chinese - due to chinese competition "I am Singer" 2017), were the people who saw him winning this Grand Prix in 2015. In 2021, he was again a guest at Slaviansky Bazaar - and again he expressed that that stage was very special to him, and so are the times when he is invited to perform on it again, through the years :) "SOS (of an earthling in distress)" (in top 5 most difficult french songs) was performed previously by Daniel Balavoine, and also by Gregory Lemarchal (a young french singer who died because of cystic fibrosis affecting his lungs). Dimash made a cover of 'SOS', and it gradually became his "calling card". 🔸A bit of background of Dimash`s performances of "SOS": Since 2018, Dimash added more and more emotion and weight to "SOS", turning it into a more and more important tribute / lament / goodbye : in 2017 and before - singing it aware of Gregory Lemarchal`s tragic fate (who performed this song with the voice of an angel even though he only had 20% lung capacity left - cystic fibrosis that took his life at 23), Dimash left out some lyrics, like "J`ai pas tire le bon numero = I didn`t get the right number"(at the lottery of the universe). He kept only some of the lyrics, giving the song a stripped down, philosophical meaning. Since 2018 - Dimash turned "SOS" into a tribute and goodbye to his friend Denis Ten, young kazakh figure skater, murdered by thieves at age 25 (in july 2018). He had skated to "SOS", and they were planning to do a "duet" performance, but they never got to do that, Denis was killed. In his London concert (2018) and Arnau Kazakhstan (2019), Dimash had images of Denis playing on the big stage screens. In his London concert (nov 2018), he sang "SOS" watching the stage screens, where a video of Denis skating was playing, and at the end, he wiped tears off his face and abruptly left the stage, took a break to gather himself. In Arnau Kazakhstan concert (2019), he invited Denis Ten`s parents to the concert and dedicated the song to them as well. Since 2018-2019 : "SOS" has become a tribute to Denis, and music icons "pulled away by waves from another world" at a young age : Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Freddie Mercury, George Michael, Chester Bennington, Amy Winehouse etc., and images of them roll on the big stage screens as well. Aside from a tribute-goodbye to precious people who died young, he also sings this song as a lament for the world, painful events that sometimes make us want to be a bird, hoping this world would be better seen from above : sometimes images of tragic events roll on the screens - the burning of Notre Dame, cities destroyed by natural disasters, pandemic etc. This is how his performance of 'SOS' became heavier and more emotional with time, aside from even more beautiful technically.

  • There is no end to his talent. I hope you will do some of his Kazakh songs because he really shows his heart. Daididau Bastau is an exceptional and a fan favorite. His whole family is just so endearing from his grandmother thanking the fans for loving HER Dimash, to praying for his fans. During his last concert, a fan had a sign that it was her birthday. He asked her to come closer because he could not see her sign but when he did see it was her birthday, he stopped and sang Happy Birthday to her, while his mother slipped a ring off her own finger and gave it to the fan as a gift. Once you become a fan, you feel like they are your personal friends and it is different because the fans honestly love Dimash. It is just more than being entertained. It is hard to explain.

  • Been following Dimash's on his path since January 2017. It's such an interesting road of development. He's still very young here and he has gotten better and better. He mentioned in an interview that he practices at least 3 hours each day and often with different international teachers. He also has such great sensitive musical taste of what to apply in service of the song. I was at his concert in Düsseldorf Germany last April, sitting on the 3rd row in the middle before the stage. The experience is really beyond anything and beyond words. He is at a level of his own. But the most impressive thing is his personality.

May I suggest that you take a look at his 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival filmed studio recording of "Ikanaide"., the link is kzhead.info/sun/a9GGXcaobIJ4Zmw/bejne.html. You will be stunned with this performance, no screaming fans or stage noises just Dimash singing his heart out in Japanese with perfectly clear audio., you can hear every whisper. Unbelievable combination of range, breath support and superior vocal dynamics, really a treat. Dimash's real "super power" is his constant ability to really feel what he sings and make you feel it regardless of whether or not you understand the language being sung. He really cares about the music and will give 1000% to his audience each and every time. Stay well and thanks again for your reaction to Dimash.

  • Hello, welcome to the world of this unique artist. Dimash just turned 28 years old. He has been studying music since he was 5 years old, has a master's degree in composition and is now doing a doctorate in musicology. His vocal range is over seven octaves, he has complete control of his voice and breathing, and handles all vocal techniques. He is the best vocalist today and the most versatile artist I know. His songs run through all styles including rap. So far she has sung in 11 languages on stage. The last language has been Japanese in the beautiful song Ikanaide (Don't go) I hope you continue enjoying it.👌

His ability to share emotions with the audience, his incredible stage presence, his personality (humble, polite, respectful, loving his family and his country, a so beautiful human being), his deep and sincere love for his fans, explain why he is unique (the ultimate performer, as said by another commentator). You can feel that each note he sings comes from his heart: this is probably why his voice directly speaks to our soul, opens a portal to another dimension. He is beyond everything we have known so far. An immense genius.

He was speaking of actors, singers, physicians, sports champions or teachers. He is the real deal. I’m 77 and came across Dimash in 2017 on the Chinese singing competition called Singer. I listened to Adagio and I’ve been following him ever since. I have never followed a singer ever. Some suggestions to watch..Ave Maria, Stranger, Fly Away(New Wave). Across Endless Dimensions, Be With Me..there is also a great video to this(Slavic Bazaar), Ikanaida(first song done in Japanese), Olympico(either Arnau or New York concerts), Hello, Adagio, All By Myself, Show Must Go On(Singer competition). I enjoyed your comments and look forward to seeing more Dimash. Bev

  • Thanks again for another wonderful reaction. Dimash is absolutely incredible. Not only his range, but the way he takes his listeners on such a spectacular journey with his magnificent voice. I believe he is the best technically trained singer in the world today. He sings with his entire mind, body and soul. He literally becomes the MUSIC. I’ve been listening to him for over five years, and he just keeps getting better and better over time. His love for his family and country are another reason he is so incredible. He is such a humble and compassionate young man. He is extremely sensitive when it comes to the problems we are having in the world. He wants his music to help heal these problems. His fandom keeps growing, and his “Dears “ gather around the world stand by his side to help spread his music. At his first solo concert in America, back in 2019, in New York City, there were fans from over 60 countries that packed the Barclay Center to see and hear him perform. It was electrifying to watch him live on stage. Welcome to family of DEARS. Can’t wait to see what you choose to react to next. 🎼🎶🎤🇰🇿❤️🇺🇸❤️🙋🏻‍♀️👏👏👏

  • Happy to see you back reacting to Dimash. I watch many reactors but find your comments spot on, so I subscribed. You truly get what's special about Dimash...his extensive training & mastery of huge array of vocal techniques frees him to create vocal/emotional masterpieces. It's difficult upon first watch to read lyrics because we're so blown away by his vocals, but please go back and see how he uses those techniques to masterfully interpret each song. Of course he has some pop songs that are just for fun, but his ballads often move listeners deeply. You'll get lots of recommendations for "Stranger," and "Ikanaide" (which are wonderful), but for you, I'm also going to recommend "Passione," which is really a work of art. "Love Is Like A Dream" is also a lovely ballad with a bit of a surprise. • 👉This song is Dimash’s calling card. That is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (That is what Dimash calls us fans.) The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and in 2017 made Dimash a mega-star overnight. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to KZhead ... and so we became Dimash's Dears. The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won). A few months after "Singer" Dimash sang this song here, as a guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the competition 'Slavic Bazaar 2018'. The International Arts Festival “Slavianski Bazaar“ is an annual festival held in Vitebsk, Belarus since 1992. Its main program is devoted to Slavic music (it is also a Competition). ✴ In January 2021 Dimash was one of the few foreigners who has been asked to attend the live online show marking the inauguration of the President of U.S.A. Joe Biden. He is here as a representative of his country Kazakhstan and he is also here for his Dears from all over the world. This is the first time in the 67-year history of the Sister Cities and the first time since relations between the United States and Kazakhstan began (almost 30 years ago) that an artist from Kazakhstan has attended such an event. Dimash performed S.O.S. and Samaltau. It is hard to pick favourite Dimash songs but for me songs in his native tongue are special. If you would like to hear Dimash in his beautiful low register his collaboration with Lara Fabian and Aida Garafullina singing Ti Amo Cosi is well worth a check. Lara Fabian has been a big influence on Dimash and if you check out Lara singing Je Suis Malade you will see how they both put their souls into their performances. All the best Peter.

  • Absolutely loved your reaction to Dimash's signature song SOS (he now calls it his 'calling card' 🤣). When he sings it now, 4 years later, his voice is even deeper and richer on those low notes. He is working on it, improving it. Every performance is subtly different. I personally like his 2017 The Singer version with the interesting treatment of the last held note which changes style in the centre of the hold. It's seriously impressive and very few people even notice it. A stunning version of that style is his messa de voce at the end of Ave Maria. Listen to Ave Maria. It is seriously impressive and will pierce your heart I am sure! But apart from these more classical (and ballad) pieces he does a lot of other styles and is a very contemporary singer. Just a normal young guy who likes lots of different artists and playing games and sports with his mates. He doesn't live in a rarified atmosphere! His family and friends keep him grounded. I've liked and subscribed and am hoping for more Dimash. You are going to love it and I can't wait!!

  • I think if there was an award for best human in the world, it would be Dimash. Learning about how he lives his life and how he gives and gives and inspires and then bring joy to people's soul and their heart through the songs but others can't get through is just amazing. The best human in the world is not the person that donated the most money to causes, but the person that's the best example of how to live and when they do have $, how do they give back. Being an example and not trying to throw it into people's faces is also one of the hallmarks of this incredible human that us Dears love to follow.

  • Dimash is not only a talented vocalist, but also a wonderful person. Very responsive, well-mannered, and most importantly, after all this fame, he remained himself, as he was. People like him should become legends. More and more people are learning about him every day. I really want to hear it live.

  • So far, you have seen him singing all by himself on the stage. I suggest you watch Stranger, which is a beautiful production, with Igor Krutoy at the piano. As you continue your journey with Dimash, you will see that Igor Krutoy has become a huge part of Dimash’s life. He has written many songs for Dimash, and also Dimash reinterprets some of Igor’s previous songs In a mind-blowing way. Stranger and Ave Maria are two of the most recent ones.

  • Dimash is only 22 years old here, and incredible as it may seem, his voice is getting better and better. Check out the latest version of SOS at the EMIGala from this year, his voice is deeper, more resonant and even more controlled.

  • Dimash is truly the best vocalist in the world, also one of the best performers. His stage presence along with his abilities to portray a songs emotion whether you understand the language or not and the way he interacts with his audience makes him in my opinion untouchable. I truly enjoy seeing someone discover the world of Dimash. The goosebumps never go away. He truly is a gift to this world, to witness it in real time is a blessing. Every song suggestion you receive you cannot go wrong with. To see a bit different side of Dimash, I suggest his songs "Screaming" and "Be With Me " Thank you for taking time to read comments. I do have another suggestion for a reaction. The group BTS. They are a South Korean group with seven members. They sing, rap dance, write and produce. They have worked hard to achieve the success they have. From sharing a one bedroom flat, training no less than 12- 16 hours everyday. The youngest Jungkook was 13 yrs old when he was recuited(14-15 in Korean age) I could go on and on, but for the sake of not writing a book I won't. They have so many songs and MV that have surpassed 500 million views to over a billion views. They like Dimash are humble and gracious. To start I will suggest their song "Fake Love" it's not their earliest release nor their newest, but it does give you a good sense of their talent and craftsmanship. They are art in motion. Also a great song and MV is their song "Black Swan". Their fans are called ARMY and the fan base is worldwide. They have been in the The Guinness book of world records several years in a row. Please consider reacting to them. I'm proud to be an ARMY and a DEAR; I appreciate when people give all music a chance.
